If we don't, I just hope we maintain a sense of perspective and don't start heaping more pressure on the team and management - it's Liverpool after all, and whatever our first two results were I doubt any realist would have been that confident about this one...

It's not the result that's important tomorrow - though a result would be a terrific bonus. It's about how we approach the match, what team's selected, how they perform against superior odds ...... whether or not they show commitment & effort. Even with a defeat, they can start the recovery.

Thats spot on, despite my previous post ruled by the heart we'll do well to get a draw but it's the fear of mass discontent on the terraces and post match PR disasters from Gary that concerns me most if we can do what Rembrandt suggests then I'm sure the crowd will recognise the effort - would be nice to at least score - 3 games no goals will not make good reading.

But the "anti megson brigade" cannot expect us to beat Liverpool, so they might support the team as well, for a change. We could be united as one
