Gonk Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 As all the mods actually go to the game, and I won't be on here tonight, this site is going to be a car crash again... You have an Iphone, don't you? Or can you put your degree to good use and create an auto-mod on a timer?
Rembrandt Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Traf, please don't waste any time trying to understand the machinations of the minds of zoons. If you do try, before you know it, you'll be the one with electrodes attached to your temples. Simply put, most of the people we are referring to are suffering from various degrees of depression and seem incapable of rational thought. Incapable of grasping the fact that, not too long ago, we were playing the likes of Aldershot in front of a few hundred and now we are punching way above our weight in the strongest league in the world. In their fcuked up world, they believe we should be Champions League contenders. You have little chance of changing this. Get your yellow and red cards ready. It is easier all round. C'mon, Bolty. Your support of the Whites didn't start in the mid-80's, I'm sure. When I started, we were a long-established top division club and the English 1st Division was even then strong by world standards. Sure we had a bad blip in the late 60's and early 70's, and an even longer awful blip in the 80's & early 90's. But we're now back where history says we should be - we've had more seasons in the top division than all but 11 clubs. And that doesn't mean I belive we should be contenders for the Champions League - that's just a cheap-shot exaggeration at the critics of the current cr*p. In this increasingly money-dominated Premiership age, we've lost ground fast - no question. But I don't see why we should write off most of our history and accept this 'poor little Bolton' tag. Let's keep fighting to stay where we are and put up a better show of it.

Carlos Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 You have an Iphone, don't you? Or can you put your degree to good use and create an auto-mod on a timer? What a cracking idea! I'm going to get Happy to change the board settings to ban anyone who uses the phrases Mugson, Smegson or Gartslime

Guest Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 You're use of the phrase "they" suggests you already have an us and them mentality. It's an internet forum so I would suggest a grip of some sort may be needed from you. To clarify what I mean by this, I'm going to post a picture of the Bristol Stool Chart: See? When it all boils down to it, it's simply not that serious. However, you can draw your own conclusions as to why I posted that picture when I addressed you personally. Kaka is a number 7

The problem is now that the big city clubs, with their drawing power and megabcuks mean we all have to take an economic reality check. Sorry to burst your bubble mate but we are little Bolton in relative terms. Doesn't mean we have lost our pride in being League founder members and having an illustrious history. We just have to accept cold, hard economic facts. I am with you though. We should always keep fighting - it's a Bolton thing. Unfortunately these days, much of it is infighting.
