We get loads of them around here and my 4yr old daughter loves them: so I'm not allowed to kill them.

Im a wuss hate them dont know why I know there harmless! Isnt there some weird fact you swallow about 4 a year or summat while you are asleep??

I'm quite fond of a few spiders legs.

I was doing a spot of gardening this weekend (trimming my bush.........ooer) and I loads of them crawling on me, I was freaking out left, right and centre - I'm a real wuss when it comes to Spiders, I bloody hate them, not as much as Daddy LongLegs though, they do freak me out

If you have a fear of spiders then a conker in each corner of the room will keep them out of the house. If you are rich then buy some conker oil and drops spots of it round the house and it has the same effect.

 

Or you could of course just kill them as you see them!

We have some in our house and you can hear them running on the wooden floor, I swear they are getting bigger the other week we chucked one out the front and it was knocking at the window to get back in!!

 

They're bloody massive but I don't mind them really just catch them and chuck them out - daddy long legs though are a different story they faff in the air I hate them!!!!

Is that an owd wives tale or have you actually tried it? TBF, there may be some method in that madness, as i have a bag of conkers i collected last week and i havnt seen any spiders in there!

 

last week there were hoards of kids doing the 'please miss can we go in your garden for conkers'

there then followed a couple of hours of them jumping up and down with sticks and a curtain pole trying to whack them out of the tree.

It warmed my heart!

Correct, at least a spider will try and run away from you. Daddy Longlegs just fly (rather badly) towards you and don't mind bouncing off your face.......that's just not on.

Aye, we've got loads of massive ones knocking about at he moment, they spin webs right across the front door / garden

 

Definitely changed since I were a lad

Not my favourite things Spiders.

 

I always have a can of fly spray to hand in summer\autumn. Doesn't matter how big the fuckers are a squirt of that and there are 8 legs twitching in the air in no time

Big juicy spiders eat all the small bollies that you cant often see. We have one who walks from under one couch to the telly every night, I could set my clock to him.

 

And never let a daddy long legs sting you. It's got the most potent venom in the cosmos.

I know someone who ate about half a dozen of them dopey fuckers one night at a bbq, he didn't have any ill affects from it, maybe the 20 pints of ale he also supped helped?
