A random observation?

Or a particular recent experience?

Recent observation after a visit this morning. Why do poor people smell? There is no need.

The Morrisons at Harwood isnt too bad...its the one in Heaton where it's full off rough folk...

Edited by bwfcdan

if you've no f?cking clue how to use the self serve tills, don't f?cking use them

it's not meant to be an end of shopping treat

Used to go to the one in town.

Every time I went through the 10 items checkout it's just full of folk buying 10 litres of meths for ?1.99.

Shop at Asda at Burnden Park =@ and have to say it's only a little better.

Went in Sainsburys on Trinity St the other day for a change. It's like being on a different planet.

There's actually a middle-class in Bolton. People shopping in suit jackets?

I'm a Morrys man, i wash, and i don't smell - does that make me weird?

Morrisons is a horrible scutty supermarket. THey deserve to have smelly folk going in there as that's the image they're selling.

NB, I'll be horribly dissapointed if I discover that you don't get Ocado to deliver Waitrose product directly to your homestead

I quite often shop at Sainsburys and I don't wash

That's me

Frankly I can't be arsed walking round the shops

Fro the majority of my shopping, I do but I do like to bob in Tesco near workfor bits & bats. Oh & there's actually a half decent Sainsbury's local opened in the Big H now! :good:

The Ocado men are always lovely & bring your shoppig in for you - top notch! I do think the text telling you the name of the vehicle & the bloke driving is a nice touch. :D

I shop at Morrissons on Chorley Old Rd and it's spot on, the 1 in town is full of smelly tramps

Call me old fashioned, but a tin of Heinz beans, a bottle of Vimto, or bottle of Radox is the same wherever you buy it from.

If you want a better deli, or selection of fresh produce then fair do's, go to your local butcher, baker or fruit & veg stall, you know full well you wont get it from Morrisons or Asda so why bother in the first place?

The bakers on Thicketford Rd that was a Hampsons is now run by a load of Chinese women, Barratts on Ainsworth Lane has shut. Aldi have better quality veg than the other supermarkets, just because an apple isn't perfect it won't fucking kill you!

Started using ours more recently.

We got a full leg of lamb on saturday, he boned and rolled it, charged ?11 (which per kilo was still cheaper than Sainsburys) but it was worth it to remind myself what good fresh lamb actually tastes like because the muck they sell in the supermarkets tastes of hydrated polystyrene.

Chicken and duck fuck me, beltin..... I'm sure I've been eating different animals over the last few years from Tesco and Asda.

Maybe what they sell in supermarkets comes from some lump of genetically produced cells pumped full of water and colouring, packaged as beef, chicken, or pork, because it sure as fuck tastes nowt like what we've been getting recently.

Llama tastes belting but you have to go to Wigan for that.

Where can one obtain fresh produce within this borough?

Myself and Mrs CWP have started "buying local produce" of late, and we have been suprised at how cheap it is. We now get veg from the farm shop (that is only about 100yds away), eggs from the farm at the other end of the village (who operate an honesty box type system) and we get our meat from the butchers that is about two miles away.

As mentioned by Smiffs, the quality of the meat from the butchers is far, far superior to some of the produce that I've tasted from supermarkets over the years.

We have chickens in our back garden so I'm sorted for eggs (I can feel a song coming on there). I can't eat lamb though as there's some live a very short life in the field at the back & look too much like my dog.

Well i'm reet posh me, i talk reet posh an all like that posh bloke on thaprentice last time.

I'll only buy food from that reet posh shop what used be god bashers hall up jonny fow on't roundabout.

You can get olives and foriegn muck an allsorts, most of it's dear and shit, but when your reet posh, nowt else will do.

We do Morrisons occasionally, easy for the Mrs to walk to.

But im an Asda man, I tend to do my "big" shop at around midnight in the week....its empty, and you can pack your stuff in your own time, plus no wife and kids mythering for all sorts.

Get it delivered man.

Seriously - only way to shop. You couldn't pay me to go to the supermarket for a big shop.

Do you let him bring it in & dump it on your kitchen units or just get him to drop it off at the front door? I fucking love Ocado me! :D
