David Moyes couldbe looking for a new job in the morning, worth a punt :pardon:

I hope that when Megson is finally fired it's not before a replacement has already been sorted out. Let's not have any of this being turned down by our preferred choices and looking like desperate twats, like Newcastle. Given that I want rid but not just an anybody else will do, I'll put these suggestions to be shot at.

1. Steve McLaren, forget about England. He is a high quality coach, did very well in a top job somewhere before Middlesbrough. Did wonders at Boro (look at them since) and had the balls to go abroad to repair his reputation and look at the job he's done with Twente. Would he come here? Probably not but if he wants a return to the Premier League who knows?

2. Alan Curbishley. Kept a similar sized club to us in the Premier League for years. Didn't do too badly at West Ham either. If Gartside is honest with him from the start and he knows the score regarding transfer budgets, clubs finances etc he might come. Certainly wants a way back into Premier, why not with us.

3. Craig Levein. I know doing great things at Hearts and now Dundee United won't get him many brownie points on here but does appear to be a solid young manager with a reputation for finding good players on a budget. He had a disastrous spell at Leicester (hang on that sounds familiar!) but there was all sorts going on there. I think he would be a man on a mission to prove he can do it down here, in the big league. I think he'd turn Scotland down for us anytime.

All 3 of these would IMO be a massive improvement on Megson

If none of the above were available or won't come then Gartside is going to have to raid the lower divisions and hope to come up with the right choice of up and coming manager.

DARREN FERGUSON................simples

P.S. Should have mentioned that I don't think Gartside will act just yet. Thing is though, the bottom line is money. I know we can all whinge and moan and make empty threats but fact is I honestly do not think that I will renew my season ticket (and lads) plus my dads if Megson is still here next season. I have had one for twenty plus years.

Now I know there are those who will say good riddance, not a proper supporter, and that's fine, better off without you etc but it is just how I feel. Megson has sapped my enthusiasm so much that I no longer enjoy going. The teams he picks, the tactics, the demeanour of the bloke, his attitude and stubbornness, the way he talks about this football club, I have had enough.

Talking to other supporters theres a lot feel the same and they are not all bedsheet waving, trackie bottom wearing nobbers either. Gartside doesn't take much notice of what the fans say/want and quite rightly most of the time but he is going to have to do something regarding Megson soon or there will just be Casino and his crew left next season.

DARREN FURGUSON................simples

Why? In the hope of getting some loan signings from down the road? :nea: (For Ferguson not neceassarily the loan signings!)

No buddy this is a young manager with a winning mentality ok his peterborough team fucked up this season, but 2 straight promotions tells me he is good enough with decent players around him, just too much too soon for peterborough.

maybe

whatever sammy lee is, i don't think anybody has ever accused him of being unprofessional

out of his depth, maybe

it doesn't help when the, senior pro/coach is undermining your every move

player power removed lee and maybe one or two who are still there think they can do it again?

That's why I thought it made good sense for Megson to cash in on Nolan when he did. If he'd tried dropping him no doubt Nolan would have done what he did to Sammy Lee. So why oh why did Megson go on record as wanting Nolan back?

Too inexperienced to be a PL manager. Like the playing demands, it is at a much higher level than he has experienced and has a lot to prove yet before he should be let loose on any PL club.

I would definitely like to see Alan Curbishley at the helm. People forget that not too long ago, he was the peoples choice for the England job. McClaren would be OK too but I fear that his England baggage is some way from being jettisoned.

Walter Zenga?

This guy is a bit of a contrast to Mr.Megson!

10 clubs in 10 years he has had , its a no from me.

I think that's a great example of how you fabricate a story.

Take one manager allegedly on his last legs.

Take one manager recently sacked

Add a colourful past

Add one slow news day

Suspend reality for a morning

Treat readers like idiots

Result: Walter Zenga heading to Bolton for mad free kick routines, adult flicks, boozing and Elvis.

It'll be Keegan tomorrow.

Excuse my ignorance but, to which one do you refer?

I thought exactly the same! Im sure none of them have had ten clubs full stop :pardon:

3) Zenga has coached in Italy, the USA, Serbia, Romania and the United Arab Emirates, bossing a total of 10 clubs in the last decade. But for some bizarre reason he's always hankered to become a boss in Scotland, submitting CVs to Hibs, Motherwell and Dunfermline over the years.

He replied to Bolty's post though and he didnt mention Zenga.

3 good calls :good: Just heard McLaren on Talksport. FC Twente came second last season and got to the final of their Domestic cup competition which they lost on a penalty shoot out. He then had to sell 5 of his team who wanted to move to bigger foreign clubs. He replaced them and Twente are currently top of the Dutch league and have done well in the Uefa cup. Whilst he was a disaster for England, he is a decent coach. Curbishly also has a reasonable pedigree.

Levein is the best option IMO. I listened to a Scottish journo on the radio at the weekend extolling his methods at Dundee. This guy has a lot of good new and fresh ideas. Another Coyle me thinks.

Any would be a huge improvement of the grey drab, self pitying clueless whiner who is slowly destroying everything good about bwfc that has been built over the last 20 years.

Apologies I havnt used this place for a bit and keep clicking qoute on the post above rather than below , I figured you were all going a bit senile but it was my error :p

I feel a song coming on, for Levein's first game, should he take over.

Half-time in game 1 and we're not playing like Brazil:

Levein's not a prayer! (to Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer)

Doesn't he look like one of those Proclaimers? Not that I'd want to sinf one of their songs like.

He's Scotch: they all look like that. It's down to the weather and hundreds of years of inbreeding.

If megson does go are we to expect a full house the game after?

The number of people who say they won't go until he's gone seems quite high.

So that's gotta be another bonus to him going 28k sellouts week in week out
