I do hope you're taking the piss.

I am, sorry, it was late, i was trying to be sarcastic.

I think Curbs would be a good coup if we can get him, dont think he'd be scared of a fight either, suppose he'd have nowt to lose were going down at this rate!

The point everyone is missing is that with nobody in charge short term would be better than him. The players would get an instant lift and we would have a "better feeling and atmosphere" around the place. That is vitally important in any business.

I've only been once this season (i like many others are staying away) and the in fighting, arguments and general apathy amongst supporters was so noticeable. It wasnt a nice place to be and i dont intend going again until changes are made.

I've missed that point & I presume others as it's a ridiculous idea!

Gus Hiddink is available more or less right now - as we're in the land of wild speculation, why not throw him into the mix?

I think he means short term caretaker Steve Wigley could do that no worries and you often get a "bounce" with a caretaker in charge (see Phil Brown with us) and when the new man comes in.

And the short term becomes how long if there isn't an appropriate manager to come in? It would be a knee-jerk reaction which in no way would be a boost for the staff at the club, it would make it a rudderless ship and as I say, with no time line for someone coming in, it's a ridiculous idea. I dread to think how a business could run in that way & think it could survive.

The board need to get someone in the frame before sacking the current manager, that's the way business should be run, not sacking with no forward plan.

Simon Grayson from Leeds would be great in many ways for me and Chief Wiggum.

I wouldnt mind him but as Casino cryptically pointed out, he left West Ham as the club sold players behind his back.

His contract said the club couldn't. He resigned and eventually won a pay-out.

When we're feckin skint, we couldnt possibly rule out selling a player for the benefit of the club, rather than the manager's wishes.

So would he even consider us?

Yes I'd agree with that

youri djorkaef.

If we could prize him away from winning stuff in Holland the Steve MCLaren would be a belter IMO

however i suspect he'd want to come back to a higher profile club than ours

Should do a WW opinion poll, see where people now stand on Megson, no drivel, just a vote. Things are getting a bit tedious now, surely these next 6 or so games are crunch time for him now?

Aye from a figure of ridicule, me more than anyone too, you have to admit he's doing a cracking job.

Fair play to him. Wish more managers would go abroad, rather than tediously whinge about foreign managers coming to England.

Gartside aint panicking.

"No-one presses panic buttons around here. I have been in the game long enough not to do that." Well Mr Gartside you soon got pi$$ed off with Sammy Lee.

Yes i saw that but as i've said next two games if results are poor and phil has a quiet word with Jussi and Kev to see how the lads feel and all of a sudden the panic will be replaced with pragmatism and he's gone.

It's funny Megson has been to this point a fair few times now but never beyond it in terms of pressure on his job I'm not for one minute suggesting I'd like the team to go down at Fulham and Wolves either but he has got to get some fire in the bellies for those games if we play like we did yesterday fulham will rip us apart.

Geroge Burley? darren ferguson?

Wouldnt surprise me, left Peterborough by mutual consent and they accuse a premiership club of tapping up. I hope im wrong :pardon:

George Graham

Why, would he give you a lift to the game every Saturday.
