It's about to snow, I can't get away much before 4 and so will get the worst of the M6 traffic; it'll be freezing and we'll probably lose. Plus the M6 will be crawling with Old Gold scum. So should I bother?

its gonna be a belter

up there with the wolves play off

but don't let that influence you

It will be like the Derby game we won in the 98th minute, stadium was empty and about -15. Do it!

reet, I'll have to do it then I suppose - it's the will of the people. At least I've managed to get out of summat and so can leave 3.30 and thus have a fighting chance of getting a fair way up th'M6 before it grinds to a halt!

Coldest game I can remember was the Cardiff League Cup game, it was discernably much warmer in Manchester

Yes not same going for a pint after 30mins and getting you to move :good:

Leeds at Home: Boxing Day 2001. Ridiculous noon kick-off.

Absolutely freezing temperatures making the hangover worse accompanied by a piss poor performance: Robbie Fowler scored a hat trick.

Coldest I can remember was December against Norwich 1995 in League cup 0 -0 then lost on pens. we all had to jump up and down in the paddock to keep warm - it was literally bloody freezing that night.

Didnt we get to the final that year, beating Norwich at home in the quarters

Coldest I can remember was against Leeds when Brolin played for them I spewed in the Terrace in the first 5 mins, the spew was frozen by half time :nea:

I'm guessing the everton home game on New Years day was none too warm either.

a 0-0 New Years Day draw against Orient seems to stick in the mind from late 80's as being a bit Baltic

Hartlepool away in 1992/3 when SJM scored on chasing down their goalie and Scott Green from a cross/shot

Not unless you've switched the match to Burnden

we did get to the final that year

but Norwich was the season after, but still the same year

and that was my coldest match memory as well - wanted anyone to score to end it, in the end DeFraitas passed his penalty to Bryan Gunn and we could all go home

the Leeds match was only 7 days after, so must've been a cold spell

The Norwich game in early 95 or late 94 was effing freezing too though if I remember rightly, didn't we beat them in the 1/4s?

doesn't help that the reebok is usually at least 5 degrees colder than anywhere else in bolton.

Very true.

But just think how it'll affect the Southern jessies.

we did

Megson was their manager round that time too

Really? I always remember Burnden as being much colder than the Reebok :pardon:

Coldest by a mile imo was Leeds at Burnden in 1995, between Xmas and New year - We got beat 0-2 and i think Thomas Brolin played for them. It must have been minus 7, anyrurd it was ferkin freeeeeezin.

It was never cold at Burnden Park.

All games were played in sub-tropical temperatures: loads of ice-cold beer on tap and we never lost. Brilliant atmosphere every game played in front of a capacity crowd.

We only became shit when we moved to the reebok.

dunno perhaps it was the bouncing along to christmas songs at burnden that kept me warm when it was REALLY cold.

Other than the first and last 2 games of the season it always seems to be cold at the bok.

But just imagine if it wasn't cold at the reebok: how warm would the already tepid beer be?
