I've Gone Deaf

I got a loud tinnitus yesterday and when it cleared I was deaf in my left ear (I'm already deaf in my right so this is grim). Everything sounds like I've got my head submerged in the bath. I've got an appointment at the quacks tomorrow. Has anyone ever gone suddenly deaf??

I'm putting the reasons as either..

1) That cotton bud I lost a while back has gone through my head and behind my eyes in a Tom & Jerry stylee and is now lodged in the other side

or

2) As I've been been so well for a week or so and your ears nose and throat are connected...... my ear is full of snot.

Warm olive oil breaks up gunge and wax, it worked for me :good:

If you have got a cold or just got over one then the little tube that drains the inner ear might be blocked up? Thats what I had just before Christmas, Sudafed worked for me but took a couple of days to fully sort itself out.

Stick some sodium hydroxide in it.

I went deaf very recently in my left ear, really fucking painfull too, went to the quacks (who happens to be a ENT expert, and apparently it's my jaw bone that isn't alligned properly so i hve to go and see an orthodentist!

JSL, it might not necessaraly be your ear!

Use a bike pump to blow out the blockage

I like your thinking Bigtoe but I'd advise one of those lilo pumps as they have different sized nozzles. One size doesn't fit all you see!

i went deaf for like 2 weeks on 2 occasions.

one after the prodigy gig and one after the fatboy slim gig at the warehouse project.

when i used to yawn or blow my nose it would come back ever so slighty

I go deaf every night.

Not once in 10 years have I heard my kids cry or want to go to the toilet. The burden it puts on Doris is often quite significant.

Funnily enough, I can't hear myself snore after Jager-Friday and reckon she's just making it up.

Aye. Place in a pan and heat for 15 minutes until really bubbling then pour straight in.

Or just dip your head in the deep fat fryer after making your chips.

It worked for Carlos Tevez.

What was that?

Pardon?

Eh?

Did someone say summert?

Stop bloody mumbling

I can lip read tha' knows.

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

If you type slower, he might.

I put my hands around my mouth, but he still can't hear me.

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

You can't use caps in here, I got bollocked off Carlos for that!

THEN MAYBE I'M IN FOR A BOLLOCKING TOO.

OR MAYBE NOT?

WHO KNOWS?

DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE?

I THINK IT'S WHEN YOU JUST POST A SMILEY WITH NO TEXT THAT IT'S FROWNED UPON. BUT DON'T QUOTE ME ON IT

I said don't quote me.

olive oil down your ear ( can warm it a little bit ), cotton wool in to keep it in and lie down with that ear facing up..

used to always have problems with my ears..
