glennboltw Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he plans to keep Jack Wilshere at the club for the new season. Wilshere enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton last season and was tipped to go out on another loan this term. Bolton have expressed a keen interest in bringing the talented midfielder back to the Reebok Stadium, while a number of other Premier League sides are understood to be monitoring the 18-year-old's situation. However, Wenger insists Wilshere will stay at Arsenal as he is set to figure in his plans for the upcoming campaign. "I think I will keep him (this season)," Wenger said. "He can play on the flank or in the middle, deeper or wider as well. He should get a few games." Sky Sports.com
onlyoneawalker Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Gutted........I think he would have been very good for us this year but having watched him in the Arsenal AC Milan game yesterday (granted only a pre-season) he looked very very comfortable alongside some world class players so not surprised. I think we'll see nothing on the transfer front for a couple of weeks and it will go right to the wire on a goalscorer and an attacking midfielder and possibly a centre half if AOB & Shittu go.
HomerJay Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I thought he looked out of place. Possibly trying too hard but he made a lot of bad decisions. at the time I though could only be good for us.
xxxxxx Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Wilshere must be excited for the FEW games he's going to play this season.
Zico Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 He will go out on a loan again at Christmas aye, either that or last week of the August deadline this isn't that bad as I reckon Stuart Holden could do well in that role the re-signing of Klasnic is more important for me
Ratwhite Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 aye, either that or last week of the August deadline this isn't that bad as I reckon Stuart Holden could do well in that role the re-signing of Klasnic is more important for me Good call. Some on here putting Klasnic down, saying he cant play 90 minutes. He can play 80 minutes every game for me as long as he keeps scoring at the sama rate as last season.
ph31 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 The boy needs a full season pulling the strings for a mid table side, not a few games in the Carling Cup, comon Arsen surely even you can see that. Hand him over!!
gonzo Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 The boy needs a full season pulling the strings for a mid table side, not a few games in the Carling Cup, comon Arsen surely even you can see that. Hand him over!! hes on a 4pm on sky sports 3....kind of hope he has a stinker!
RUREADY2ROLL Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 hes on a 4pm on sky sports 3....kind of hope he has a stinker! Unfortunately he has had a blinder and the volley onto the bar could have been the best goal seen there if it was a few inches lower And Zico why is Klasnic so important to YOU; to the team yes but you must have some effection for him;
tarian1979 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Good call. Some on here putting Klasnic down, saying he cant play 90 minutes. He can play 80 minutes every game for me as long as he keeps scoring at the sama rate as last season. Exactly. We need him or someone like him, asap. We go with davies and elmander/davies and blake we're gonna be in trouble
Bert Anchovy Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Can't believe that some people thought he would be back for this season, very wishful thinking. Bank on the Yank to make all the running.
Casino Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i didn't want him back he just doesn't fit a 4-4-2
Mounts Kipper Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 (edited) Despite what wenger says in the papers I still feel the deciding factor where wilshere ends up is whether fabregas remains at Arsenal, if he stays Wilshere will be on his way. Edited August 1, 2010 by Mounts Kipper
Bert Anchovy Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i didn't want him back he just doesn't fit a 4-4-2 Get real, since when does anyone including us play a season long rigid 4-4-2.
Casino Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 so the fact coyle has stated hes wanting to play 4 4 2 the fact hes said he wants to play with wingers - and has signed petrov to play there the fact hes looking to sign klasnic - he aint playing up top on his own none of this makes you think coyle is naive enough to try it?
Bert Anchovy Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Listen son, Owen would love to have had Jack back, regardless of your armchair theatrical management. Make NO mistake, he would have played him all season long.

THunter Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Regardless of formation I'd rather we didn't have Wilshere back. He's one footed and lacks end product. If he'd come through our academy he'd have been slated for some of the stuff he did last season. He won't make it at Arsenal.
Bert Anchovy Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 And on that bizarre bombshell its thread closed for me
tarian1979 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 As it stands 4 5 1, yank davis and muamba middle three, please coyle. Obviously could change mind signings dependent Is lee back off leave yet? Horrible thought b4 he wont be playing those 3 winnable games at the start cos of not being match fit and then comes back for villa/man u etc where we'll get turned over anyway

Horrible thought b4 he wont be playing those 3 winnable games at the start cos of not being match fit and then comes back for villa/man u etc where we'll get turned over anyway David Lee was back straight after the Masters. Lee Chung Yong played at Falkirk. Sammy Lee was sacked a couple of years back. Bruce Lee was a kung fu fighter. Yes, i'm pissed, good night.
THunter Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 im sorry mate , but everything you have said in the above post i disagree with and put down to being absolute bollocks. I'll put you down as one of the sheep who've been told what to think. He's English and he comes from Arsenal so he must be good right? How many goals and how many assists for us? I make it one of each. His right foot is just for standing on. Possession lost in midfield time and again when he's trying to be billy big bollocks. I'm not saying he's shite, but he's ridiculously over rated. And he won't make it at Arsenal.
