lets get him flogged

basham is an adequate footballer who still has time to get better

ive seen him play ok at full back and midfield

just why anybody wants to get shut of a low earner who could be useful is beyond me

The problem is that he won't get a game, so might as well move on

If he stays he will only play in league cup, and if many injuries occur. If he goes he will play every week; be Blackpool's player of the season adn be sold to Everton for 6m next year.....................................................maybe.

The lad's got the makings of a decent holding midfielder, which we haven't really got (at least not one who's proven) and he can cover at centre half too.

Send him out on loan to get games, but don't go for a permanent move.

Played pretty decently at right back away against Arsenal season before last. I think that this is his best position. A useful man to have around becasue he can fill a few positions.

changed the game against Chelsea away too.

Blackpool Increase Basham Bid

Coyle said last night that he is probably too far down the pecking order and therefore might need to move for first team football.

He said he's got 5/6 midfielders ahead of him so opportunities will be limited

IMO he is not good enough for an established Premiership club that is looking to be comfortably mid table. I wouldn't be too bothered if he filled in due to injuries and suspensions once or twice a season, but I wouldn't like to think that he is an important member of the squad.

If we got offered anything decent then I think it would be better for the club and the player to let him go and play 1st team football in a team like Blackpool who are basically a Championship team visiting the Premiership for a season, and good look to him.

Every time the lad has turned out he has'nt let the side down I see him as a old style utility player very handy to have

around when the injuries start to bite , some of our existing midfield flatter to decieve on occasions whereas Basham is

a steady character who can fill in at fullback as well , for the money he will be on surely he's worth keeping & only

22 as well so plenty scope for improvement.

I think if he had managed to get shot of JOB, then we would be keeping Basham

JOB is more of a gamble right now than Basham if it came to squad numbers I go for Basham.

The French have enough horsemeat for the time being

Really? What's the Fabrice lads surname again?

It's taken longer than I expected for someone to come up with that. While some might see Muamba as a holding player (Stuart Pearce for example), both Megson and Coyle have given him license to get further forward than someone who sits in front of the back four and mops up.

Theres no way hes an attacking midfielder, he is best at mopping up and breaking up play

He may have been given license to get forward but to be fair hes not very good at it, hes best at breaking up play and giving the simple pass out of the defence

Get shut, cut the wage bill, pocket a million and move on. He's injury-prone, average and a bench warmer at best.

For a million, I'd drive him there myself and throw in a pub lunch.
