then the 4 you have decided from west brom who are all better than FM...........apparently...not good enough that there 4 beat our 2....

West Brom tore our midfield apart at the Reebok. If they could finish, they could have beaten us by 3.

The point I'm trying to make is that there are a lot of footballers out there who I think are better than Muamba and would do a better job in a white shirt. If you disagree, you disagree.

As I've said before - I'd like nothing more than to be proved totally and utterly wrong and for him to go on to hold the midfield together for the rest of the season, win the ball back that leads to the goal that takes us to the final of the FA Cup where he scores the winner and become a Wanderers legend.

I stopped reading at Reo Coker

Presumed it was a wind up after that

now he is fuckin rubbish!

now he is fuckin rubbish!

He's a cockend too isn't he?

Set to win his 30th U21 cap this week which will take him clear in 3rd place for most appearances.

and who would, ffs

cahill, holden and lee, might

hasn't coyle just given him a new deal..maybe he sees something pissed up bloke on the terraces don't

I think Jussi, Cahill, Wheater, Holden and Lee would all be used regularly by at least one club in the teams above us, Wheater at Liverpool if he was in their squad at the moment. Given that that's only 5 players out of 11 I concede it wasn't the best point I've ever made.

Or only 45.45%. Hell, that's damned nearly half the team!

The point you are missing is that Wheater would nt be in their squad because if they needed a centre half as a squad filler it would nt be wheater.

As for Jussi none of the big 5 or 6 have shown any interest in last 10 years so the same applies there.

the 5 you mention only cahill would have a sniff of starting on a regular basis for the top 5, and he probably will in next couple of years.

Not really, we're having a hypothetical discussion about which players from our team would get a regular start if they were playing for one of the top 6. I still reckon Jussi would get a start at Arsenal and Wheater might get a start at Liverpool. My point was, I don't reckon Muamba would get near the first team for any of those sides.

Fucking hell. Baz off here'd get a game if he turned up before KO.

I agree that FM would not get a sniff for any of them.

But if they only had 1 other fit midfield player and he was in their squad he would.

The the only way in the foreseeable future that wheater would play for the teams above us would be if first choice centre halves and their back ups were injured and he was in their squad.

You can not use one argument for wheater and then avoid the same for FM.

The point is that none of the clubs above would sign FM OR Wheater in the first place.

The Jussi Arsenal one holds more water as i think he is a better keeper than what they already have but if arsene thought the same he would have signed him. Arsene prefers small young boys..................to play in his football team not as sexual partners i hasten to add.

To be honest Ani, I'm confused about what I'm argueing about with who now.

It would appear so.

I'm working my notice as well. Finishing next Thursday so my motivation levels are extremely low.

Can we continue to argue until next week to see me through?

Always viewed FM as a bit of a "water carrier". Just seems to me Coyle wants and expects a little more out of him which seems to stretch his ability to far

For what its worth, I think he could do a good job for us, but his partner in the middle needs to operate about 5 yards away once FM has won the ball. Little short pass and then sit and hold - job done.

Nail on head that. Perfect description of what FM is all about...break up oppositions play and knock a 5 yard pass to his central midfield colleague

If the ball didnt drop to Muamba in goalscoring positions then im sure most on here would see how he does the other job hes in the team for (ie tacking and generally breaking down the opposition play)pretty well,

I like Fabrice he seems a decent lad. although im on the A B M )Anyone but Muamba) in the penalty box though!

Maybe FM isn't on everyones frequency and should revert to AM

I'll get me coat

When his goal scoring clicks there will be no stopping him, (possibly!!)

At this age Nolan was the same, "Jigsaw" used to be his nickname!

Muamba is the most expensive midfield signing in Bolton's history. There really should be more to his game than that.

Your not including our current right sided midfielder in your "most expensive" category then?!

PMSL.Out of the 3 major summer signings in 2008 Muamba was probably better value than Shittu and Elmander!!

no shit

recent signings are the most expensive, who'd have thowt

As for "most expensive" we come back to initial signing on fee v total cost over the length of a contract, e.g. Petrov's cost if he stays for say 3 years
