Open Sale

Anybody else in the same boat as me? Everybody I know with a ST is going so I will have to wait til they go on open sale on Monday. Given the chaos that ensued on the phone lines/internet when they went on sale to season ticket holders I am expecting much the same situation Monday morning and so I'm thinking of going up to t'Reebok and queueing up to get some. Good move or not?

Bolton fans in general have always supported the club, and will continue to do so, as long as its affordable, these days it often isn't.

  • As saving the planet is high on the agenda these days, and much as I hate to admit it, Red Nose himself made a valid point that the amount of travel involved in sending 3 and a half North West teams

thats what i like to hear.. :drinks:

at least i will be looking down and not at the back of someone's head right at the front

p.s couldnt get 3 in the same row no,

Only joking buddy. Apparently its a good view no matter where you are - site plan is still showing good availability in 7 blocks though

if we sell 28000 it will be a good effort>

Agree with that

I'd say many of the seats behind the goal are the worst. Each to their own I suppose.

Each to their own is very true. I would say my perfect seat is probably directly in line with the penalty spot, behind the goal, aslong as your eye line for the other end of the pitch is over the crossbar. Whereas I know others who HATE being behind the goal and have to be along the sides.

OVER 80 PERCENT SOLD

The Bolton news are reporting that 25,000 have been sold so far! Which, IMO, is pretty good going with about a week of sales left to go. Anywhere near 30k will be a good

to be honest i dont think 25,000 is pretty good going expected to sell all 32,000 but hey ho.

I'm not bothered how many tickets have been sold. They have sold the one I'm interested in - the one I've bought.

at the the risk of offending spirit of burnden by asking a question, does anyone know if the 25k sold figure includes tickets given out to players, officials etc etc.

the 'sold' figure implies not but easily could be over 1000 of those as well.

Apparantly around 27,000 tickets had been 'allocated'.

So im assuming that it's 25,000 sold & 2,000 ish allocated to others?!

I have to say I will be gutted if we dont sell our allocation. I was expecting us to be asking for more.

The club, the Bolton News and local radio should do a mega push every day/night until ticket sales finish. The PR element should be ensuring it is on everywhere, even supermarket tannoy systems all over town and the surrounding area. This game will screen all over the world, it helps the club in so many ways, sponsorship, merchandise sales, visibility on the world stage. and not least of all attracting new players for next season.

Sadly, as Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco etc won't make any money out of it, and may even lose cash if there are less folk in the town for a couple of days so I don't think they'll want to join in.

From the start I was expecting us to sell around 28K tickets, if we can get to 30K tickets, then that will be a pretty good effort I think - I think we can all admit that for home league games our support isn't that great as a rule, so I'm not sure why people thought there would be an amazing clamour for tickets for a semi-final that might mean some people didn't get tickets (of course there will be an almighty clamour for tickets if we do make it ot he actual final)

It's been said before further up this thread, but anybody that really wants a ticket will be able to get one without much of a problem

CWP if you accept without trying everything, you usually sell a miserable 25000.......................effort usually gets reward. The name of any game is to win, a win in this case would be a full Bolton end, agree?

I don't give a fuck personally, it's not a competition for who's got the most part-time fans.

Is it not? Why have we been discussing sales for the last fortnight then? :pardon:

I don't give a fuck either. My tickets have come. If I was at Wembley on my own I wouldn't be bothered. At least there'd be no queue for the bar!

Yes it would be good to sell out but we have already sold more than I would have imagined (I thought about 25000 tops) - just look at our poor followings over the last few seasons.

Not selling our tickets will make no difference whatsover to our visibility on the world stage or attacting new players, Ect IMO. The most important thing is to win the game and hopefully the cup (that will make a difference)

Anyway I dont think there will be many empty seats; anyone ITK knows how many are left now?

For what it's worth,i agree.I really don't think the club help themselves with our so called "poor attendances"

They should promote and push like fuckery to sell as many tickets as they can.

All this "client reference number, with a history of purchasing tickets" is a load of b@ll@cks at this stage of sales.

All you should need to purchase a ticket now is -

1,Proof of address

2,Proof of I.D.

If you live within a 30 mile radius of Stoke you can get fcuked.

Easy.......an extra 3000 tickets sold.

But surely you can understand why the club do this?

"Late rush for West Ham tickets" = Client reference number & purchsing history???

I've just had a text from BWFC!!!

Me too

How do you ever get a purchasing history if you dont have a purchasing history???? :nea:

Not just before one of our biggest games for years. I don't see how people can't see the possible problem with this.
