I'd add another 20 of those 'very' remarks. ;)

I've just almost been sick into my socks....agent wanker talk - is he short on his contract already?

I think it'd be the ex-boyfriend scenario again.

He'd stopped being any use in a five man midfield.

I'm pretty sure he'd be fuck all use in a four.

Would walk into our team. Miles better than anything we have in midfield (maybe apart from Holden). Why would he come back to us though when he got stick every week from deluded fans who knew feck all about football who believed he was shit

At the time, he was shit. Many of us said that a change of clubs would help him out; but he was awful at the end with us.

Nolan HAD been shit for the last one and a half years he'd been with us. The move to Newcastle was a good move for all concerned at the time.

Nolan will never be any use to anyone if part of a four man midfield due to his lack of mobility. Play him just behind a lone striker though (like he did with Andy Carrol) and he's a valuable asset.

Or maybe it was more the shite he had playing around him..

No. His movement stopped, he gained weight and he generally couldn't be arsed. He was rubbish.

'tis amazing how a couple of years pass (or 18 months) and some folk can go misty eyed...

All Nolan contributed in his last days here was moaning at the ref and doing that backwards star jump when closing down a player.

That's not to say he wasn't a brilliant servant to the club, because he was. The time was right to move on. It was a good move for him and a good move for us.

gotta say, he's done pretty well at newcastle.

his time here just got stale.

if it wasnt nolan, i'd want him signed tomorrow.

Hmmm.......Nolan and Holden in centre midfield, with Muamba sitting in behind. It's a yes from me

A good move for us? Why? It didn't matter how he played, he was a scapegoat.

Scored against the scum in the Stretford end forever a legend to me

Because we got more than ?4m for a player who was doing nothing for us and had done nothing for us for close on 2 years.

As said above, he's got legendary status for us and nothing will ever change that. He scored in two victories at Old Trafford - one-one will ever forget those goals and those victories

However, that doesn't mean he hadn't gone stale though by the end.

That is all.

nolan stopped scoring

thats all that changed

chances still came

chances went

so he was shite

just like the taylor syndrome

i think he was also taking on megson so he had to go

got 12 goals from midfield for newcastal is that what our departing striker got? :good:

Megson tried to get him back on loan, Holden and an inform Nolan would be class.

But his pointing got better.

I'd have him back, to be honest.

would love it if he came back

But his pointing got better.

Good point.
