  • Dogshit.   I've got Heliocentrics on red button. 70s porno detective show type music. Beltin.

  • Correct. Thing is other festivals usually have a similar gendre of musical acts there whereas folk can slate Glasonbury but it has absolutely everything, and going on all the time. It's what sets it a

  • I used to really love U2, used to go watching them in concert etc - so dissapointed that they have turned into such a bunch of hypocritical, self-agrandising, wankers

Vaccines on Beeb 3 now for those who are into them.... Kaiser Chiefs on next.

Bonce on now.

Ignore the arse, tits and legs

But this is wrong wrong wrong

What the fuck's this on the main stage?

Looks like an X factor audition.

Nice tits though.

Where are the Queens of the Stone Age?

Bag o shite

TOH keeps saying.... "You don't like this do you?"...... just as I'm about to say "its a pile o' toss", that there Beyonce bends down and her snatch growls at the camera.

Think the Kaisers have returned on top form BTW.

QOTSA on BBC3

This Beyonce is making Bono look understated.

I'd still suck her farts though.

just watched it for the first time as I was informed Cool and the Gang are on :yahoo:

rest is utter dog wank though

Didn't watch this fuckery, nothing like as much fun as it used to be before the right on yaaahs hijacked it!

Last time I went was in 1990, over the fence with a fiver down my sock to bribe the security.

Cure, James, Mondays, sure Jesus Jones played? And a little French troupe called Mano Negra who basically had the place bouncing.

Not that I remember much like as I'd partaken of several bags full of magic 'beans' which were so readily available and cheap! MAny many raves in fields all night.

Might go again when the kids are old enough though. Don't reckon I'd get in for a fiver either..........Or be able to climb any kind of barrier!

WTF was Tricky doing?

Elbow + Coldplay = suicide Saturday.

White lies and Chemical brothers excellent on other stage at the same time though

Love Glastonbury for it's huge diversity and the late night areas

Edited by ex_midlandwhite

Have to disagree with Ryan, I think it is the best UK festival - no sixteen year olds setting fire to tents for a start, am too old for all that, though I guess that may be the point of this thread for some.

White lies bossed the other stage Saturday night, if they can follow up with a third great album they could be headlining it next time in two years. Even their non singles are huge live.

Friendly fires before them were great too, which surprised me given I can't get into their album at all. Opted for streets over beyonce which was a decent alternative in the John Peel tent

NB has it right for me, it caters for a very diverse range. It also destroys the other festivals for late night areas and you can take all the booze you need in and anywhere you like. That will do for me over these arena type festivals. :drinks:

went in 2001 and couldn't believe how fucking huge it was, must be the size of Westhoughton all round.

all the bands I wanted to see were on the 'other stage' but there must have been 30,000 watching this.

Spiritualized were the stand out group that year.

Coldplay were the headliners on the pyramid, but I think I fell asleep in a bush.

They were good t'other night, credit where it's due.

morrissey

pulp

queens of the stone age

yuck

eels

top 5 bands i saw

The BBC coverage doesn't do the festival justice. I didn't watch anyone on the Pyramid this year. There around 30+ stages around the site. The Park stage had secret gigs by Radiohead (didn't bother watching) & Pulp on Friday & Saturday. Pulp were superb. Apparently Mumford & Sons did an unannounced set at Strummerville campfire to about 250 people.

Plus you can take in as much booze as you can carry :drinks:
