My mate and I decided to go into Carlisle for breakfast about 10 this morning to Weatherspoons and I couldn't believe the amount of pisscans there were about. Even before entering The Woodrow Wilson there was a guy sitting outside. He looked absolutely mortal drunk with piss stained trousers he then decided to spit but didn't bother where his gob landed and it went right down his front..... dirty bastard.

Anyway we went in, ordered our breakfasts and I got a pint of Deuchars (because of the thread on beers on here) which was fucking rank and didn't finins!! my mate got an Orange juice and sat down. Within 5 minutes the guy from outside came in and was promptly asked to leave because he could barely stand up.. he refused. The barman asked him again and again Mr Pisscan refused. Then a barmaid came through from the kitchen and all hell broke loose. She was built like Fatima Whitbread with an arse like 2 basketballs in a pillowcase. She walked up to the pisshead and picked him up and threw him bodily out the door and onto the pavement. It is one of the funniest things I have seen in years.

Then after the hilarity died down I looked around and there were loads of people getting laced in about whisky and other spirits along with pints by the dozen. Do these people do this every day (seemingly it opens at 7) or is it just a Sunday thing?

I thought I was a hardened drinker but these people must have livers made of asbestos

boltons about the same pal i go westhougton now for breakfast if i want one :good:

Bolton 'Spoons is ok early on. It's Saturday morning for me, 9:30 ish for an hour. The only thing that spoils it is one bloke, old enough to know better, and he's always on thephone. In and out of the doors time and again bawling and shouting.

It's very civilised. Bugger to get served mind, there's always some bastard ordering breakfast. They gon't want tomatoes so can they have an extra sausage.

A pub in Salford is always full of drinkers, first thing in a morning.

I don't like Wetherspoons myself, I like a bit of background music at least. It always feels like it's last orders in there.

I go in all the Notright pubs for a drink when visiting other towns, best entertainment going finding out people are thicker than your home town.

Pensioner boxing is an artform that should be an olympic sport

No, it's one on Churchill Way near Salford Shopping City. Although I suspect there's quite a few open early doors around here.

Anyone who is anyone knows it is called Salford precinc

No idea if that is spelt right like

Not many pubs in Salford left, I think Winstons on the precinct was known as Fraggle Rock.

I know it's the Precinct but thought those who aren't familiar might have more of an idea of where I meant.

I've been working here 9 months and I've only just learned how to pronounce Ordsall properly :D

Traf, yes the Winston! Even the smoking bit is behind bars, I shit you not.

Soz

We went into Leighs 'Ale House' at 8am before the Blackpool game. Place was half full at that time.

Strangest thing was 3 elderly fellas, all in ties and jackets (as a certain generation always are) playing doms as if it was the most natural thing in the world to do at that time in a morning.

Its getting to normal now in the Alehouse, started to go into Bond St now for my fix of laughs.

I quite enjoyed it in the ale house last Sunday, characters of whom the world is sadly lacking :drinks:
