from a money point of view, being the chairman's son he doesn't have to worry about that

from a footy point of view, maybe he was only at Utd because he was the chairman's son and wasn't going to get in the first team - going on loan to league two again probably didn't appeal

he'll be set up for life no doubt already and opted for four years on the piss without having to get up for training

uni's ace, if the option is there, you should take it

can't say the same for playing on loan in league two as I've never had the chance

his sister needs punishment

Probably mapped out a career in stockbroking or banking.

He'll be alright for dosh

excellent fuck them DMB's off :good:

Gill Jnr was in the same year at MGS with my nephew and always expressed a desire to go to university before fulfilling his dream as a pro footballer. Just like others have noted he's financially secure for life whether he plays football or not but this is more than just money clearly and I believe it speaks volumes for for his desire to have a more rounded life. Good luck I say!

David Gill received an honorary Doctorate from Uni the other day. Would have liked it to be in our graduation ceremony as would have been interested to see what he had to say, but we had the CEO of Doncaster Rovers.

ps worth a punt?

Reserve player of the year at the scum too

Maybe he couldnt live with himself putting the filthy red shirt on every day

If my dad was chairman of BWFC, I would be reserve team player of the year.

In his position I would cut my teeth as a player! You get one chance whatever level its at!!! Uni is always an option at any age!

I know 2 lads who turned down contracts at Oldham to go to Uni

And 1 that turned down a pro contract at Stockport after uni to take a desk job.......at Man Utd

It's very different to Gill but wasn't uncommon a few years ago
