November 18, 201114 yr Thanks for that. Just brilliant. That freekick against Villa in t'cup, bloody magnificent.
November 18, 201114 yr No surprise to hear that I've seen it before, but they never get old, the greatest player I've ever seen play for Bolton.
November 18, 201114 yr No surprise to hear that I've seen it before, but they never get old, the greatest player I've ever seen play for Bolton. Without doubt the best player I've seen for us. Remember just getting up to clap him for something he had done, not even Tony Caldwell had me doing that.
November 18, 201114 yr Without doubt the best player I've seen for us. Remember just getting up to clap him for something he had done, not even Tony Caldwell had me doing that. Think i took him for granted as to how good he was, amazed how the top teams missed him when we signed him, he could and should have played for any of the top teams in europe. absolute class.
November 18, 201114 yr his one two with youri... never see his like again ever three words simply the best
November 19, 201114 yr Okocha then Djorkaeff a close second, I'm sure there's many who would have it t'other way round, but Okocha had that something else, that wow factor, after his first season, it wouldn't have been surprising if a club like Real Madrid came knocking. I spent many an hour practising Okocha's signature trick, he along with Ronaldinho were the biggest influences in me admiring Joga Bonito type football, he'll never be forgotten, I'll never forget Sam not letting it be known that the Birmingham game would be his last, he deserved a send off, a thank-you, he came back from the African Nations (with a mini afro) and him and Vaz Te had a very good end of season, I thought we'd at least get one more season, but it wasn't to be, gutted wasn't the word. November 19, 201114 yr In my time watching Bolton, I'd say the top three are: 1. Anelka 2. Okocha 3. Djorkaeff. Absolute joy to watch all three of them. Okochas second against Villa is still the best free kick I have ever seen (yes, better than Bobby Carlos vs France). Who in their right mind would even contemplate trying to bend it round the INSIDE of the wall and back in again. Never saw it before, haven't seen it since.
November 19, 201114 yr Still don't know how no other manager in any league went for them or how they both ended up at the whites.... No matter what it took to get them here, I don't care as I had the privileged to see them both entertain me over those years Long ball kick and rush???? Give me that any day
