It wasn't such a bad performance against a team worth about 20 times as much as ours, Premier League Champions and away from home.

The problem is we now have that horrendous run of games again so the recent confidence boost of a couple of wins may disappear so the support given can make a big difference I reckon.

I was very proud of our fans on Saturday, yes it wasn't a massive following (but at ?43 it's understandable) but they backed the team throughout and never once turned on them. They also got behind Owen Coyle again which must have been great for him to hear that he is still being backed.

Contrast that to Blackburn and our support of our manager through these tough times is something to be very proud of when the easiest thing in the world would be to start the Coyle Out nonsense.

my view from my armchair in the pub, was that we did ok for the first 44 minutes. As has been said numerous times before this post, Knight is a fucking liability. Why not pressure Wellbeck to shoot, he could miss or Bogdan could pull off a save? But to give away a penalty and get booked in the first half was just unforgiveable.

Again Coyle's substitutions, we sat there saying right when is he going to go for shit or bust? It never happened. Did he think SKD would be targeted? For me if him and Klasnic had come on at least it would have warmed those poor fans who paid good money to watch it. We aren't as good as united but at least give em a go. If Blackburn could put 3 past them then couldn't we do the same?

At least we're in touching distance of Wolves, and it with two home games coming up lets hope we can build the players confidence but Coyle has to DROP Knight, it's a no-brainer.

how about a red card for scholes' studs in mavies' gut?

Don't be silly, thats just 'Scholesy' :glare:

Aye, the BBC have been analysing every vaguely debatable tackle for the last couple of weeks.

Scholes' waist high, studs first, nowhere-near-the-ball 'challenge' just warranted chuckles and guffaws on MoTD.

Par for the course now that Auntie Beeb lives in Salford.

I thought we were a bit negative in the first half.. but all things considered weren't too bad

Fell asleep and missed second half so can't comment on it
