February 2, 201214 yr I was thinking something very similar we seem more solid as a unit rather than running around like headless chickens at the back.
February 2, 201214 yr ..Gary Cahill finally leaving the catalyst for our mini revival??? No. Its down to the change in formation.
February 2, 201214 yr I don't think it's Cahill going as much as other changes in the defence. Sam back, Robbo out Bogdan in, and a bit of healthy competition for places. I also think there has been a general pulling together. Petrov is putting a shift in these days and midfielders are looking over their shoulders at CYL and Holden geting back in the picture. Bolton are back, scrapping and fighting as Hughsey said.
February 2, 201214 yr Agreed. With a midfield willing to track back and help the defence then it doesn't really matter which players get picked. For Petrov to look comfortable around our 18 yard box makes him a different player than the one who rarely got further back than the half way line.

I do wish him & Eagles would look more threatening about putting tackles in though, instead of just waving a foot around.
February 2, 201214 yr No, it could have been a lot different if Bellamy wasn't wrongly penalised against Knight or if Walcott scored the one on one, we have improved defensively, but that through ball is always on it seems and even yesterday we allowed players to run at us whilst backing off like Koscienly did a lot. We deserved to beat Liverpool, but if Arsenal took their chances and if it wasn't for our woodwork and Bogdan, I'm sure posts about how we miss Cahill will be made.
February 2, 201214 yr but if Arsenal took their chances and if it wasn't for our woodwork and Bogdan, I'm sure posts about how we miss Cahill will be made. If we'd taken our chances, we'd have won. And you could equally argue that our woodwork stopped Arsenal conceding goal kicks. If you hit the post, you've missed.
February 2, 201214 yr I read a quote from Martin O Neill after he had sold him to us that said he thought he could do anything on the pitch bar actually defend. I disagree but he is definately not the best positionally
February 2, 201214 yr If we'd taken our chances, we'd have won. N'Gog had a couple, one well saved and one just wide, his header was going way off target, don't think we created much else, Arsenal really should have had the game won in the 1st half and Van Persie deserved to have scored for his performance and almost genius lob.

What about Mark Davies getting rugby tackled when he was past Nutcracker and then the keeper finished him off in the box. We deserved a draw and the match reports ive seen even agree which is a first. Van Persie got what he deserved, fuck all.
February 2, 201214 yr did cahill not play aganst everton? ffs and scored the winner so is more part of the catalyst for it that and the formation change / organisation
February 2, 201214 yr bollocks you either put it in the onion bag or you dont, he hit the bar and the post both off target N'Gog had a couple, one well saved and one just wide, his header was going way off target, don't think we created much else, Arsenal really should have had the game won in the 1st half and Van Persie deserved to have scored for his performance and almost genius lob. bollocks you either put it in the onion bag or you dont, he hit the bar and the post both off target Seconded. For all Arsenal's pressure, Bogdan didn't actually have to make many saves. The ones he did were good uns though. Try to enjoy our current upswing in form.
February 2, 201214 yr There is only one reason for the change in fortune And think its plainly obvious to everyone Coyle read my post about what team we should be playing
February 2, 201214 yr bollocks you either put it in the onion bag or you dont, he hit the bar and the post both off target He hit the outside of the post and the top of the bar. Never in doubt!
February 2, 201214 yr bollocks you either put it in the onion bag or you dont, he hit the bar and the post both off target Yup, annoys me that. "ooh that was unlucky" Bollocks, inch or a mile, he missed
February 2, 201214 yr Yup, annoys me that. "ooh that was unlucky" Bollocks, inch or a mile, he missed ITV commentators are the main culprits for it "oh that deserved a goal that!" "hes played well he deserves to score" BOLLOCKS
February 2, 201214 yr Was talking at half time about being an Arse fan,I would get bored with all the tippy tappy shite, and all the falling about.
February 4, 201214 yr I would also have my head in my hands every time a goal scoring opportunity falls to Theo Walcott, a proper false alarm that lad. I read somewhere that Capello doesn't like to use Richards at RB because he bombs on too much and that doesn't suit his plan for Walcott. Well fuck me if England are building their team around that fella ...

February 4, 201214 yr Henry Winter. Maybe he thinks Johnson is a little more disciplined. Anyway, his opinion of what Capello thinks so it could indeed be bollocks.
