February 7, 201214 yr i was offered the chance to go corprate for wigan on saturday and shmooze along in the chairmans suite... i have since declined as its simply not my cup of champagne...apparently its ?300 per head. unfortunatly it wasnt so easy for my old fella and other members of our matchday party to decline! so on behalf of them, has anyone been in the said suite? if so what can one expect?...they have been told to wear ties etc,but told nothing else... ta for any info..... i shall be slumming it in scotts bar and then esl freezing my taters with my favorite Carirbbean bar staff.....

February 7, 201214 yr Your dad in there? That, I'd love to see! And good on you for preferring to sup with the ruffians. Oh and yes I've been in it, food's alright, but I got told off for not sitting in my seat outside properly. Nobhead!

February 7, 201214 yr haha..my old man is the last of my worries..its daft pete! normally takes all his clothes off at posh do's. I bet taking his clothes is probably one of the less daft things he'll do then. Daft Pete? Deary me.

February 7, 201214 yr If you get offered a Tongue sandwich it's not what you think it is Edited February 7, 201214 yr by Salford Trotter
February 7, 201214 yr If you get offered a Tongue sandwich it's not what it appears When I was a student, I used to work at Tesco & one of the jobs was on the deli counter. Clearly, till then I was naive as to what exactly tongue was.
February 8, 201214 yr I was in there once for a pre-season match against a minor European team. The expression "scraping the barrel" comes to mind. As it happens I met a friend-of-a-friend (the mutual acquaintance used to play for Burnley and Wolves, and his uncle was an egg-chaser with Leigh).
February 8, 201214 yr Eddie usually puts on a dildo show, it put me right off my oxtail soup. Why? - did he use it as lube?
February 8, 201214 yr I was invited in there by Phil Gartside after I complained about the service and staff in the ESL. The great and good of BWFC are in there and this is where I met Nat Lofthouse and had a good chat about football. It is as you say a tie job but it was a suit and tie job when I went (check on this as probably no jeans allowed) The bar was free except for champagne and the food was delicious. There were tea and cakes at half time and then snack at full time. Just tell whoever is going to wrap up warm as it was bloody freezing in the directors box and drink the bar dry! I tried and failed
February 8, 201214 yr I went in the Chairmans suite twice last season, driven in WH1. The catering is excellent but the bar is rubbish, bottles only, but it is free. Free programmes and Sky Sports on a TV in the corner. One thing I will say is they are as passionate as anyone in the stands and know their football. It's a nice change but you can't beat being in the stands with yer mates.
February 8, 201214 yr Never been in one at reebok but the one at old Trafford 3 weeks ago racked up ?393.80 and no I didn't pick the tab up????
February 8, 201214 yr It'll be full of armchair mancs who won't/can't pay for an OT season ticket, and don't have a clue who is on the pitch! I hate corporate spongers , and all the eejits who take freebies and for once I agree with Roy Keane
