6 game season most of the teams we play are on the beach, hope but doubt the players flick through this forum, they would know how much this club means to us. go out to win all 6 we will get enough points.

You must be confusing me with someone who gives a shit about your opinion.

so why keep responding angelos ?

Do people genuinely believe these players can put on another run, so soon after we've just had a mini revival a couple of weeks ago, the performance was encouraging v Newcastle but that means nothing when you lose, I have no trust in these players at all, individuals maybe, but as a team, not really, " I believe" " Keep the faith" are just words, words that will be of little significance, it's not even down to Coyle now(he's not a good manager anyway), it's the players, judging on the rest of the season, I have very little to be optimistic about, I will support them and still care, but realistically, though not mathematically, I think we've fucked it up and ruined all the good work we've done in the last decade+

The losses v Norwich, Wigan and Fulham are the kind of games we'll look back on, games that should have been a break from losing or games that could have taken the pressure off other games, i.e beat Fulham, a loss to Newcastle isn't as bad, beat Norwich in the middle of really tough games, gives us some points in the middle of expected losses,

losing the wigan game still makes me feel sick.

bobcat at the other (again, along with a few others)

the majority of us are in the middle, within reason, i think

diddles went from one to the other and missed the middle bit out it seems.

we are not down neither are we safe yet.

nothing is set in stone

our destiny is actually in our own hands, irrelevent of anyones opinion of anything.

i for one will be cheering us on the the very end

yes i'll come on after the next shit (or even good) performance and slate the players and the staff

but that doesn mean i dont want them to succeed.

it imo, for too many people (at either end of the spectrum) cant wait for the "i told you so" moment.

and thats really sad....

Well said. Have one of them + things.

Who'd take needing a point at Stoke to stay up? I certainly would.

If it was on offer now I'd take it. Not sure my heart would.

Not sure what you mean pal

Surely every one wants us to succeed and doesn't want us to be in a situation that their predicted losses/relegation comes true, just so they can use it as a defence for their less positive posts/ lower optimism.

There's way more to be negative about, the only positives are ones of hope and belief, none of that will effect our outcome, Some people like to be like Mel Gibson in Braveheart, like to give praise, even if things are going wrong, some see this forum as a way to share their true feelings and not patronize, give false feedback and talk about realism rather than hope.

It's such a shame that because we support and care for this club, that that means we automatically/instinctively have to support the under-performing players, poor manager even when they aren't doing what we want and are embarrassing and shameful, but because it's our club, it's right to try and keep positive thoughts about the poor team, because it's only them who can turn it round, fans can't.

Packed out stadiums etc won't be the reason we stay up, but it will be the one of few positives fans can use against others who don't like to give false praise and don't really feel like saying they do have much optimism when it's not how they feel.

I hardly doubt there's anyone who genuinely want's Bolton to fail, just because they aren't as positive as others on a messageboard.

All this crystal ball gazing is utter horse shit. I know it's a cliche, clique, etc. but it has to be one game at a time. 3 points off Swansea for starters and then see what heartbreakers the rest of the 'League of 5' have gone through. Mood, morale etc. can be fatally affected by a bad loss.

One game at a time thanks (starting with 3 points this weekend).

Next next Boltage.

Not sure what you mean pal

Diddles, I think what he means is that you change from thinking we're world beaters because we have a good game or two, and whoever has played well in those match becomes the "Japanese/Czech/Hungarian/Bulgarian/American Okocha" to beng full of gloom and despair. There never seems to be any middle ground with you at all.

On the plus side, at least you can still wank yourself silly over Messi and Barca if they win the Champions League, so it won't be a totally bad season for you.

One game at a time thanks (starting with 3 points this weekend).

Don't be too disheartened when we get no points this weekend.

Diddles/Daz - no I won't be disheartened. we don't get the everyday updates from the Bolton News etc, but I should have checked. Is our next game the rearranged one?

You get my drift though. Whatever the next game is, 3 points would be lovely!

i may be extremely pessimistic ...nearly 40 years of watching us has made me that way!!!

but as a fan till the day i die...i want us to succed ....

So you only started supporting us aged 22? JCL.

You went from being a happy clappy chappy to being emotastic in about a nanosecond. As soon as dog-eater and *nSync's 6th member got injured you starting painting your fingernails black and listening to My Chemical Romance.

THAT'S what he means... pal.

And he never told us what he does for a living.

Fixtures for Bolton, QPR, Blackburn, Villa, Wigan, assuming Wolves are out of it;

BOLTON: Swansea (D), Villa (D), Sun (L), Tott (D), West B (W), Stoke (D) = 35

WIGAN: Arsenal (L), Ful (L), New (D), Black (W), Wolves (W) = 38

QPR: West B (W), Tott (L), Chel (L), Stoke (D), Man C (L) = 35

BLACKBURN: Swan (D), Norwich (D), Tott (L), Wigan (L), Chel (L) = 30

VILLA: Man U (L), Sun (L), West B (D), Bolton (D), Tott (L) Nor (L) = 37

Down on goal difference :(

It's been said, crystal ball gazing is shite, but I have been drawn into it on a lazy morning! I do think unless Blackburn get a win out of their next 2 games they could be gone. I was hoping Villa might get dragged in to it, but that's only going to happen if we beat them and they don't get another win all season. I think it's a dog fight between us and QPR.

us 1 defeat in 6 and 4 draws in 6

no chance

imho

You're right of course. I suppose I was thinking draws would have to come at some point ,(and if we turn any of those into wins then thats where the extra points we need comes from) But going off results so far this season, swap those draws for wins/losses, God knows how many points we'll get then.

i think we can win all our homes

we can win the three aways

we could just as easily lose 4 or 5 of 'em

Piss it....

Bobbers is optimistic post shocker!!

Edited by Bobcat

I'm with Boltoy. One game at a time. I was as happy as larry until Wigan won t'other night. Problem is as we don't play this weekend the situation is going to get worse before it gets better. We'll have a game in hand, but as we know that's no substitute for points.

For the record I think we can still do it.
