Aye he's off about 2 paces now but will still take wickets.

He puts it there & they get themselves out.

Really looking forward to the new season.

Needs to warm up a bit though.

Wogden will be there or thereabouts. Dave Smith is a legend down them parts.

He'll have to be a goodun being a slowy, especially ont Shire postage stamp.

I'd obviously like to see Horwich win but it'll be Farnworth again.

Farnworth were a joke team til Mr Axford started putting the cash back in.

Tonge are in a bad state. Big debt to the brewery by all accounts.

A shout out to the 2nd division association from me

As you were

sjm, whats your views on a 2 division league in bolton.

my views would be good for local cricket

Greenmount again. My mate AJ reckons he will be in the runs this season at Bradshaw, he's very proud of a new bat he's just bought.

My lot at Heaton will miss last season's pro, lower mid table beckons.

Second season in the League, I reckon he will kick on from last year. Should be given more of a chance with the ball as well.

i agree but the bradshaw tend to like spin and the captain is a bowler, so cant see much chance for him there, i expect to see at least 700 runs from him given the chance

Is Dean Waugh still at the Bridge?

are you looking for the ched evans thread

We will be watching Atherton CC when it's nice and sunny

I agree, the 20/20 divisions show it works so why not in the league, two titles 2 cups promotion relegation and 20/20 wld be great

Kill Cricket

Sjm and fester, what is the point in asking each other about two division cricket?

It will never happen. Was involved in the last two proposals to expand the league and it is a non starter.

I will back Greenmount if they have replaced Andy Kerr with anyone decent. Farnworth will have points deducted if they don't fulfill junior and second team fixtures.

Walkden have splashed a lot of cash about but team spirit and actually playing for the badge will see them fall short.

Fair comment. Just fester then!

Why did the the plans never develop?

The structure of the league committee and then the voting process means very little get through.

The proposal to expand the league to 20 clubs with 2 divisions of 10 would have made cricket far more competitive and interesting. Also leaving more sundays for lko, nko and 20:20 cricket. Some of the excuses why clubs were against the proposal were laughable.

Greenmount & Farnworth setting the pace, surprise surprise.

Got a few hours of sun & watching cricket on Sunday. Fingers crossed for Saturday, forecast sounds promising.
