No, you're wrong he's the most dog shit player Wogden's have seen in years.

I know forum's are all about opinions, but today, that's got to win the prize for the most bollocks one!

I would like to dedicate my award to Chris Eagles

the only thing wrong with eagles is he shows he can do it then instantly fucks up. its like a peep show. looks good but you get nothing!

mavies is over rated with a ratio to end product!

Partially agree, seems to have gone to pot since the talk of Newcastle interest. Although he as one us three penalties. That have all been converted.

weve all said a million times, since the day he signed,

he can not play in a 442.

simple as that.

We might as well cash in on M.Davies in the summer if we get a decent offer.

A talented player no doubt, but there's no point keeping him if Coyle won't set the team up to get the best out of him.

aye, 4m?

aye, 4m?

Yep. That should cover the fees for Michael Duff and Jay Rodriguez.

Is Michael Ricketts still knowcking about? He scored a bucket load in that league for us! Could probably get him on the cheap too

They're talking about ?8m for Rodriguez.

well if its 4 million for one to play 20 minutes in 6 months, 8 million for a good un seems ok

He has already signed for a Prem team..... :)

It's not a done deal with Fulham yet.

Only thing he is knocking around is his mrs iirc

As terrible as Knight is he WILL be the one to play unfortunately and the team WILL be:

Bogdan

Boyata Knight Ream Ricketts

Eagles NRC Mavies Petrov

SKD N'Gog

How do I know that is the team? Coz Coyle is predictable.

I would go:

Bogdan

Riley Steinsson (can't be worse than Knight) Ream Ricketts

NRC

CYL Vela Mavies Petrov

SKD

You know what

I think OC is a clown

But sometimes he cant win; he gets shit for fucking about with stupid pissing about with formations and random personnel......and now we're knocking him

Against Stoke away, our best chance is a formation that we know with players that know one another - yes predictable, but being predictable ain't our problem, its being organised and knowing where the fuck we are when we defend

Your first team above has to.....it HAS to be the team, unless there's injury

First game of next season, no ta. But now.....give me consistency / steadiness etc

And yep I know we've not been those things, but this gives us our best chance; it's not champ manager FFS

luxury player..

if you have a strong midfield you can play 442 with a player like Mavis... unfortunalty we don't meaning we have to have another solid midfielder next to NRC.

you simply cant play 3 attacking midfields with a shaky defence..which is what Coyle is trying to do to compensate for two forwards that can only hold the ball up and dont produce any major threat.

in short our team isnt strong enough or set out for a player like Mavis..

so, play 4-5-1

the front line isnt strong enough to provide a threat, Ngog seems scared of shooting and Davis hasnt the stamina anymore

We might as well cash in on M.Davies in the summer if we get a decent offer.

You can't set a Premier League team up to get the best out of a reasonably good player like Mark Davies.

Jay Jay Okocha yes, Nicolas Anelka yes, Youri Djorkaeff yes but not fucking Mark Davies. He wouldn't even be in Bolton's team but for injuries ffs.Seriously we had better than Mark Davies in the central midfield last time we were in the 3rd Division.

I think 442 with this group of players has been categorically proved not to work and will fail again on Sunday, the best formation seems to be 451. My view is go with something to surprise the opposition that gives the opportunity to play 2 forwards without leaving the midfield light so 3 51. If I were Coyle i would start 451 then if we needed a goal change to 352 in the last 30 minutes. It won't happen though he will play 442 and Stoke will be out of sight by half time, Bolton fans will be back in Bolton before the game is finished.

4-5-1 is has been best for us this season - I completely agree

But with Muamba and NRC both playing

I don't think I'd play it on Sunday; but not for Swanny's reason - I actually think Ngog was better in a 4-5-1 than he is in a 4-4-2 with SKD. My reason is the midfield personnel - the only thing that would change it for me would be if you have to start Vela. And I wouldn't start him unless we have to. Most folk on here have barely seen the lad yet they clamour for him to start?

I actually think we defend and even attack better as a 4-5-1 - I've said on here many, many times that the wide men and the player off Ngog seem to be able to gamble, support and go past the ball more with 2 central men behind; but I think OC perceives 4-4-2 as a formation set up to "win" (wrongly IMO) so I can't see a change from that

Stoke, as we know, are dangerous from their front men (we go like for like - Knight on Freak and Ream on Walters); out wide (so playing Alonso for example who has recently been ripped by wingers when he's played must be a none-starter); and from set pieces (so it's about concentration, taking responsibility individually and hopefully practicing this week!!)

Would not disagree with much of that, except I would not play Knight I think he could not give a fuck as proven by the laughing and joking every time were beaten and his performances getting worse every week he plays, he should never wear a Bolton shirt ever again. Our away form is pretty good for a team cemented in the bottom 3 and this is mainly down to the 4-5-1 system, my thoughts on the 3-5-2 are that enables us to play without Knight gives us the 2 holding defensive midfielders and gives us the option of playing 2 up top, if were drawing and looking a bit flat in the last 1/4 of the game we need a plan B and I cannot think of a better plan B.

So who would you play against a Stoke team whose main threat is in the air, given that Ream seems to have lead in his boots?

And please don't say bloody Boyata.

Rather have steinson or ricketts along side ream, think we're over egging how good crouch is in the air, and would not trust knight to do the Job.
