There was an interview with Klinsmann on the BBC a while back about the inquest/aftermath of Euro2000 and the Germans being basically shit.

 

Upshot being there's far more agreement and co-ordination with clubs and German FA about how their academies are run.

 

They now seem to be bearing fruit, all at the possible detriment to the club
