i'm too old for hero footballers, but ricardo is as close as it gets

 

he's just a likeable lad

 

looks like he appreciates everything that has come his way

 

and he was as good a left back as there was in the league for 18 months

 

i'd pay to watch his testimonial - can't say more than that for a modern day millionaire footballer

 

I'll also second this.

People I used to sit next to at the Reebok once sat next to him on a plane.

They confirmed what a decent, unassuming, level headed, polite etc... chap he is.

Could do with a few more like him

Thank you ricardo for the years and memories. My favourite being the only player in mind to put the ball over the roof at the reebok. Seriously though when he put the 3rd in at Cardiff that was a moment I will always treasure.

Jussi Jaaskelainen has turned down a 2 year contract with us today. Expect him to be at the Boleyn Ground next season with BSA.....probably sat on the same bench as him if Rob Green stays

Really ? So why the contract negotiations recently ? He could have buggered off sooner if that's his reason.

Anyway, great keeper in his time even if his PR skills with fans weren't so good (allegedly) and great club servant. Sadly & inevitably now in decline. Good luck to him.
