Although it's the right choice, I'm gutted Ricky G's gone. Absolute hero.

All the money does go to charaity, Riccy deserves one as a token of respect.

There's only on Dino?

Another thought, What do you call Dino with no eyes?

Who the fuck is he? Where did he come from?

Dno?

Don't really care about the rest, but thanks for everything Ricky G. One of the greatest servants to our club.

Remember his best bits

For Jules.

Will he not get a testimonial?

No - this isn't the 1970s. Players don't need testimonials unless ALL the money is going to charity. He'll have a small fortune stashed away.

All the best to Ricardo - great servant for the club.

A bit gutted about Steinsson tbh, i reckon he would have done a decent job at RB in the Championship.

All we need to do know is keep chungy and holden and we'll kick the shit out of the championship.

I was going to ask if he'd had a testimonial... I wouldn't begrudge him it. 14 years service is amazing these days.

I'm sure the money would go to charity, it seems to have done fo the last few. More about him and the fans having a send off. No reason at all it can't be part of pre season. Very few pros play so long at one club nowadays so nice to recognise that.

Please don't let my logic get in the way of your bad mood today though.

Wa gwan Ricardo, thanks for the memories!

14 years is great loyalty, shame about his injuries keeping his appearances down.

Oh bloody Obadeyi

La la how the life goes on.

Jussi got a testimonial, so should Gardner.

We should all chip in and bribe Knight to sign for some other unlucky club.

 at the member who'd have liked Robinson to have been given a further year.

No real surprises in the list.

Sad to see Ricky Gardner leave. Lots of happy memories PNE play off final, that goal against Newcastle, Bayern Munich, falling on his arse a lot. :drinks:

Just hope the Jussi/Knight contract situation doesn't drag on all summer. It no doubt will.

Does anyone know who this dino bloke is? Never heard of him at all

just spoke to whitewizz , he was in tears when i told him 'dino has gone' it took a few minutes of explaining that i didnt mean his favourite kebab shop in farny . he,s ok now .

We are signing a CB soon as well....a young and tall English CB to partner Ream

Go on then I'll bite - who dat?

Have heard good things about Chester at Hull from a mate who watches them.

sad to see BLAKE go

Not many things amaze me on here anymore but anyone wanting to keep knight needs a check up from the kneck up, this bullshit about he will be ok in the championship is total crap, no he wont he is the biggest pile of dog crap i have seen at bolton in over 40 years and there have been some shite in that time believe me.

Whilst I agree that 14 years is a long time to be at a club, let's not pretend he's done it because of his love for the job.

Footballers stay at wherever is paying their inflated wages. If someone had stepped in with offers of pots more dosh he'd have been off like a rocket.

Never in a bad mood. Just walk around with my eyes wide open.

We've thanked him evey week of his career by paying him the kind of money most people on this board get in a year every one of those weeks. No point us throwing in more into the pot. That's not just for Gardner, that's applicable to all players who have had a top flight career. The days of players needing a few bob to put down on a country pub are long gone at this level.

That said...

...if he (or the club) can come up with a decent game and was up for throwing any proceeds to a local charity, that's no bad thing. Bolton's not exactly Cheltenham and there are a lot of local causes needing cash right now. Otherwise, introduce him to the crowd before the game for a big rousing cheer or two. That's all he needs.

Exactly.
