When we were fighting for a Champions League place, you'd like to think that our demise could have been longer and given us more time to stop the rot, it was quite a dramatic change in results since January 1st 2007.

One moment we're winning 5 in a row over Christmas, next we have a poor last few months under BSA, then 3 new managers, our better players leaving, scrapping for relegation, brief signs of improvement under Coyle but that wasn't to last and finally relegation.

Should we have allowed such a fall? our heights of Europe was a big change to what we were at first in like 2001, could the club have been run better? should BSA been allowed more money? the money we bid for Veloso for example? was it available at that time?

Even if we stayed up last season with Lee and Holden, it was quite clear that relegation was on in the foreseeable future, back to my first sentence about Champions League, being top 4 at the end of 2006, should BWFC really be in the position we are 5-6 years later?

Finance plays a massive part as does players growing old like Okocha and Djorkaeff (big part of our success) but during our top 6-8 seasons, I'd like to have thought we had built foundations for a prolonged stay in that section of the league table.

European football, fantastic players, more wins than losses, all now a memory spoilt by relegation.

We should walk the Championship, but if we do? what then? do we achieve the great heights again, only for it to be taken away because of lack of ambition? lack of financial support (with what money like, I know)

Is there/will there be players like Okocha and Djorkaeff available on a free/loan to catalyst more success, is Coyle suddenly going to become a good manager? if not? is there another BSA out there?

Or is our destiny a Charlton, Leeds etc one because of off the field football related situations, which in-turn effects on the field football.

You really are setting yourself up for more misery with stuff like that.

I dont think anyone will walk that league next year, it looks tougher than ever.

You need to start preparing yourself for when we lose a couple of players later this Summer (Davies/CYL), never mind the next Okocha.

Agreed. Always seen the Championship as a proper dog eat dog type of division, with a whole group of teams really experienced at that level and capable of winning anywhere at anytime.

Just booked a few of us in the etap for Leeds away ?25 a room for new years eve, night out in Leeds then the game the next day.

Didn't think it would be so cheap.

on tv on the 2nd Jan

We'd just have to do a second night in Leeds.

When do we find out how TV have fucked about with the fixtures? Can't find anything online.

Etap, you get a double and a bunk so you can fit 3 in a room but I'd get a room between 2.

Dont go near an eyes right saving scam, he had about 15 of us in 1 room in Norwich all paying ?1 each. I would have happily paid the ?15 and had my own room.

Mark my words, get yourself in that Travelodge. Try Bewleys as well, thats cheap as fuck in Leeds and is decent enough. No bunk beds is the main thing.

Eyes Right - I am up for Hull away but only if we are not all on different trains going via Aberdeen a fortnight before the game just to save 50p each in dog food vouchers!

Top! I'm a bit like that, Ill take a 30 bed hostel room if it saves me some cash!

Did the Madrid game via Malaga as it saved a fair few quid, but then spent more than the difference between us at the airport bar during the hours we had to wait for our connection.

We drove to Heathrow for Madrid, Lisbon and Munich for the sake of about ?30 quid each. As the only non driver though it was ace getting as pissed as I wanted there and back knowing I didnt have to drive.

I got ID'd in the wetherspoons at heathrow for the Lisbon game and the manager came out and said "no its alright, he's a regular". How fucking ace is that!

Ace, and worrying!

We'd just have to do a second night in Leeds.

Itll be well into the season before we find out about the TV for new years day. I just looked at last season in the Championship, the full fixture list at the same period was due to be played January 2, only one game was moved to the day after presumably for telly. So, there's a chance that our game could be changed, but doesnt sound like Premier League where 3 or 4 games get moved.

I prepare to eat my words.

PEASANT ALERT! Joking, this week alone ive booked 4 different 2 night stays int next year for weddings and now leeds away. All with cancellation as the week before, if they aint sold out prices usually drop. Unlikely to happen for NYE but you never know!

Theres that many games I want to get to this season that Ill gladly be a peasant! Just so annoying not knowing the definate dates of any games till later on. Its like the Hull game, do I gamble and sort train tickets now, or hang on till TV is sorted then deal with dearer prices? Just how much do the BBC and Sky want to be showing us live?!

Forest at home changed to Friday night.
