no balls Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Supermarket chicken is entirely different to stuff straight from the farm. We keep chickens in our back yard........................ (actually we really do) Quote
Sweep Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Supermarket chicken is entirely different to stuff strraight from the farm. Very true, we often (sadly not always) get our chicken from the local butchers, we can certainly tell the difference between the bland watery stuff from Sainsburys and that from the butchers. On a similar subject, soemthing I don't get is folk who buy meat that is already frozen, such as frozen mince and frozen leg of lamb etc. Surely you would buy themfresh and then freeze them yoursleves (at least that way you can see what state the meat is in prior to it going into deep freeze Quote

The reason he does this is because chicken is much easier to mince when it's frozen he tells me. It's excellent for making kebab and kofta type stuff. You do have to ask for it though. I have to say though, the chicken he uses is good stuff to start with as with other meats, most of which are from their own farm. Quote
Carlos Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 There's a decent butchers on Ainsworth Lane so no excuses. Real chicken breast is much meatier and doesn't leave a puddle when grilled. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) Don't they quick freeze it, which in turn prolongs the erm...freezer life of it? Isn't all New Zealand lamb* frozen? Even that sold in 'real' butchers? * And I presume Australian steak too. Edited November 20, 2012 by Youri McAnespie Quote

Even that sold in 'real' butchers? it may well be, I just always think it looks a bit grim a solid lump of frozen meat...but I suppose some of the stuff sold as "fresh" may well have been frozen at one point (such as NZ Lamb or Argentinian Beef) Quote

Roadkill Franny, it's the future, always best to get it whilst it's still twitching though and the meat is still fresh. I find the best way to see if it's still fresh is to stick your penis into the critters arse a few times, to see if it's still moist Quote
Carlos Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 What if it's not fresh but full of jizz? Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 They sell Halal in Burnden Asda now, it's miles cheaper and, in some cases, looks more appetizing than the regular stuff... I bought some chicken a few weeks ago and, inshallah, it was alreet. Quote

no balls Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 from 2.51 pm this afternoon Wayne is a bad name on it's own so is there even any need for a comedic addition. I'm not sure I could have a go on a bloke with a shit name. Quote
