Certainly not me. working in that field-ish it just isnt worth the risk. Itll get him in the end just enjoy your life fab no point looking back.

He never started him when he was fully so no chance now even if he recovered to a standard he could play again

He's not that daft, I'm sure they all know at the club that he'll never play against the highest level.

 

He should take his insurance money and enjoy the rest of his life. We should, as a club, already have prepared for life without him in the squad

I saw that, and can only think they have done it out of sentiment whilst he is still recovering. If he sees that his number has been taken off him, then I guess it would be terribly demotivating in his fight to get back to full fitness......probably a fruitless fight, but one that he has to keep going at, until he's told to stop

 

 

As soon as its 100% confirmed he's finished then it will no doubt be given to somebody else.

I don`t think he will play again, it wouldn`t be fair on any opposing player, they`d be scared to tackle him.

 

He`d make a tremendous embassador for the club, he`s known all around the world plus he`s quite a clever lad.

I agree with Stanley, there is a player in the top League in Holland who had the same problem, Muamba has time on his side, I think the mental side for him not returning is as big a hurdle as his physical side, at the end of the day I hope he returns but think we're just all happy he is alive.

Just a point here; whose insurance money is it? Do the players insure themselves against injury or do the clubs insure their players against injury? Or possibly both.

Its a bigger plus to me that he gets to spend the rest of his life raising a family and enjoying life over playing for BWFC

I think a few people on here had him in their title-winning squad for the coming season.

Tis a real shame for the lad but if someone said I could retire in my 20s just as I was about to raise a family with no real money worries I'd settle for it.

 

Before folk go mental im sure he, nor any ex pro, wouldn't see it quite like that and I can only guess as to how gutting it must be for him, but if it happens he can't play again then, so long as he's healthy, it could be a lot, lot worse.
