Marc505 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Looking forward to this for some reason. As miamiwhite said theyve some decent players and itll be interesting to see how they play especially Zaha who we were linked with around the time Sordell came in. 2-1 Bolton, 16,253 on including a few Ultras in the away end Quote

Marc505 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Are you going to try and sneak a beer up to your seat at Selhurst Park? Lesson learned, Ill stick to Bovril! Quote
DazBob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Lesson learned, Ill stick to Bovril! Haha. One of mine and LW's mates was turfed out for the same reason. It was the meekest throwing out I've ever seen. He was politely asked to follow them ... they led him down stairs 'for a chat', through a door and then the door was closed behind him and he found himself outside. Brilliant. Quote
gonzo Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 2-3 palace, last minute winner for them sparking mass booing from people already in scotts. who remember our fans swapping shirts with theirs in esl corner??.... Heard Palaces chairman on the radio the other day,he was going ape shit about wigan...basicly saying they are a bigger club. Quote

My chat involved the police taking all my details and filming my face before telling me to leave the area. Annoying that you cant drink something they themselves sold to me but rules are rules I guess. It was similar at Hull the other week, you couldnt even go in view of the door that led to the seats with a drink in your hand. I dont know if they think the sight of grass sends people mental but its a bit daft! Wont be happening again though, a lot of money down the drain for nowt Quote

It genuinely got to me Quote
no balls Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 It is the law though. Sadly, I know, but it is. I think it's something else you can blame the Scousers or Thatcher for, whichever is your persuasion. Quote

They're always the victims, it's never their fault. Quote
DazBob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I thought it very harsh to be kicked out. Surely a confiscation would suffice. Was it made clear that taking a drink to the stands would lead to being kicked out? If so, rules are rules I suppose. Quote

DazBob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Who doesn't know that? I wasn't aware that it means nailed-on instant eviction, so me, evidently. Mind you, I know you're not supposed to take a drink to where you can see the pitch, so I've never done it as I'm a good boy. Quote
MickyD Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 You're also not allowed canned drinks for fear they may be fashioned into a lethal weapon or something. Quote
DazBob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) You're also not allowed canned drinks for fear they may be fashioned into a lethal weapon or something. My point/question was Micky, is there a zero-tolerance policy at all grounds where if caught, no ifs no buts, you are evicted? Edited September 24, 2012 by DazBobParr Quote
gonzo Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 can you take a brolly into a football stadium? Quote
MickyD Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 It's not the grounds, it's the sport played within the ground. Rugby League fans watching a game at Wigan can drink; Football fans can't. Quote
DazBob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 can you take a brolly into a football stadium? What about a frozen loaf? That'd make great missile. Quote
