Fooking, bastard cuntshovelers!!! 36 in a 30 zone.

Anyway, anyone been on one of these things? I've also heard it could be all for nothing with the insurance companys now. Anyone had any issues with their insurers after going on one?

Surely if you do it you just say no the the question about points?

That's it though. If you do a DAC you don't get the points. Apparently some insurers are now asking if you have ever attended a DAC. And banging up the quote if you have. Was on the news last week.

According to the blokes on the one I went on last march, just say you havent been on one. There is no way they can find out legally.

Anyhow its 5 hours long and not as bad as I expected. They are run by driving professionals now and not the police and there is no driving involved. The one I went to was near Preston on an industrial estate near the end of the M65.

5 hours? So I pay the speeding fine, pay for the course and I have to lose a days holiday. Think I'll just join the feral class and not bother with insurance.

No insurance isn't an option any more with all the ANPR cameras.

you could try not speeding

I once found out I'd been driving for 6 months with no insurance due to a fuck up. I dont reckon these ANPR's are all they are cracked up to be.

I've got to choose too

56 in a fucking 50. That bit in the m60 near Stockport. Big fuck off 3 lane empty motorway in broad daylight at 1pm on a Wednesday.

Clearly the cunts have fuck all better to do.

My dad did one in September after being caught doing 36 by unmarked van on Thicketford Brow.

Did his at Bolton Arena, he did it so he'd have no comeback insurance wise. Said it was worth the boredom!

He was more pissed off because the two of us trawled round trrying to find a copy of the highway code, as they request you bring a copy, when he walked in there was a table full of them.

you don't pay the fine if you go on the course. You pay for the course only which is usually about 15-20quid more than the fine.

Isn't that covered by average speed cameras because of the bad bend in the road and arent there are loads of huge signs warning about it?

Edited by freds dad

It's a poor society that hates it's citizens so.

Fuck em

Son in law has just booked his at the Arena in Feb. Sure he's booked an evening one.

I got a letter from South Yorks telling me using those average speed cameras, I was doing an average of 70 near Stocksbridge, and was driving like a cunt blah blah, I thinks bugger, gets to the bottom and they finished with, on this occasion we'll let you off. Ace!

Quite possibly. It's also a money pit and one of the highest earners in the cosmos.

However having spent many years working with highway design codes which were designed when you had to stick your feet out to slow a car down and havnt changed since, I do still shake my head sometimes.

If they want to make a motorway safe, stick some fucking lights on the m6 between 15 and 19 and sort the waggins out. Seventy four deaths a week on there. Maybe more.

It's 4 hrs and you can do it in an evening 5.30 - 9.30. I did it recently at Walmersley Rd, Bury. It was alreet.

and forget to tell your insurance company?

did it at Bolton arena 4 hours long but felt like 12 hours. You do learn a bit though, I've never enjoyed classroom environment. If I'd took the points I'd have 12 now, so in hindsight it's worth doing.
