utorrent works nicely

Just playing with it now, it's not bad, but I've not got stuck into it proper yet.

Just ordered a 32G SD card.

When that gets delivered I'll get downloading on it.

Will play with TV catch up later

You need to go in settings and alter something to get flash on it

Have a Google if you're struggling

MX player is a must have

Hers cost £99 from asda.

But she gets £20 cash back after 30 days.

£79 can't grumble at that, and it does everything she wants it to do, and it does that little bit more i can use it for

I doubt there's a better 7'' tab for the money

And the best 10" for the money?

Any particular reason you want 10's mate?

a bigger screen is needed.

Daughter's hand/eye co-ordination and fine motor skills aren't great, so a bigger screen is needed.

ah ok.

I'll have a look about.

And the best 10" for the money?

Based on what I've seen of the 7 inch acers I'd get the one I suggested before

I saw a girl today with one of those Samsung phones they keep advertising. Well, I couldn't miss it. They're far too big, where do blokes put them or are they for mon bag types?

200 quid?

i'd say it doesn't need much thinking about

You forget that I'm a tight fucker and that it's only for an 8 yr old!

And then for not a lot more I can get an iPad for her.

Hence the procrastination.

That would indicate you believe the iPad to better.

a ten inch ipad for 200?

That would indicate you believe the iPad to better.

Is the iPad better?

No, but she's familiar with the iPad, as she uses mine far more than I do!

a ten inch ipad for 200?

No, but a refurb for not a great deal more.

fair does

i can see why people buy ipads

my mate wouldn't be able to download torrents to his ipad like he does to his tablet, tho

that, for me, sells the android tab

All that said, I'll probably still go for the Acer!

It really does look a decent bit of kit for £180.

I did like the look of that Nook HD+, but as you suggested I had a closer inspection of the OS and it's a hacked away Android with limitations.

Kindle fires....

Better than an iPad??

no

kindle fires are dogshit

if its 7", google nexus or an acer - the 100 quid acer is better than the fire

if its 10", the acer discussed on here, above

Reet then. I've just bought the 7" Acer.

What should I be downloading for it?

They're available with 20quid cashback too until Sunday

I lost interest in phone technology for a while and had iPhone 3G for 3.5 years

But my interest is returning and am going to get something new

Fancy the nexus 4 as I can get it on contract for £25 a month for 2 years

Galaxy's and that seem a tad more pricey so other that the fact it's not 4g ready, I fancy nexus

Does it really matter about 4g? 3G seems alright these days to me

In a nutshell, is it still worth getting a nexus 4 for 2 years or will I be stuck with a shit out of date phone? Should I be arsed?

My Nexus 4 get 16,000 kbps download on Three the other day. Fast enough for me. I bought mine outright so that it will easy to upgrade in 12/18 months time. Two years seems a long time.
