GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Perhaps this explains how the 67000 gate vs Darlington was under reported. Quote
darrener Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Is that why the away following at huddersfield was put down as 2085 when their was more than that there. Quote

Zico Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Tax is based on the actual income through rather than the number of tickets. That said, it's common practice now for the 'attendance' to just be 'tickets sold' so I would expect BWFC do the same. if not tax, maybe something else? didn't a club once get done for fiddling the attendances - to make them lower than they clearly were? guessing clubs have to state all tickets sold, either by STs, match tickets or pay on the gate - and it's not a choice the club has to mask shite attendance Quote
Con Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Dunno what the rules are. Leicester had sold over 20000 tickets for their game on friday, but has already been said, gave the attendance as eight and a half thou because of the bad weather. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Basically, there aren't any rules and it's up to each club what they give out (as long as they can back it up some way). Ways and means at certain neighbouring clubs. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Isn't that why City sing "we're not really here"? Thought it was from when away fans were banned at Millwall or summat? Quote
Eddie Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Thought it was from when away fans were banned at Millwall or summat? Could be, I just always had it in my head that it was from back in the days when they were skint and in the lower divisions and were understating their attendances to fiddle their figures. Might have it wrong though, I can't actually remember where I got that from. Quote
smithills_gent Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 no problems for those flying There are sometimes big problems against Chelsea Quote
