January 30, 201313 yr I don't normally go in for all that malarkey, you go you don't go, it's up to you in a free market. But this photo was mildly interesting. That would've stopped the scutters wearing Stone Island & Adi
January 30, 201313 yr In 1989 we were watching long ball football in death trap stadiums. Dont forget killing your own fans...
January 30, 201313 yr In 1989 we were watching long ball football in death trap stadiums. But some 15 yrs later, we had a safe stadium. #sameshitfootballthough
January 30, 201313 yr In 1989 we were watching long ball football in death trap stadiums. there wasn't half the money in football back then. no matter how you look at it we as fans are getting bum fucked by ticket prices. it'll never change because we will keep going. clubs know this hence why prices keep rising.
January 30, 201313 yr As long as folk will pay a days wage to watch a bloke kick a ball, it'll never change.
January 31, 201313 yr Correct, Supply and demand But I do believe the the supply is saturated and the demand is withering.....slowly
January 31, 201313 yr Its not before time the fans starting wagging the dog again. I think more and more campaigns like this need to happen. Unfortunately for us.... say what you think... we've been at the forefront for cheap tickets for a long, long time. Its the fans of the "big-boys" and big city clubs who are getting fleeced each week. Sky needs to grab hold of EVERY single game and broadcast it - creating an "away season ticket" like they did in Italy a long time ago. The clubs won't rely on gate money as much and in the theory they can then reduce the cost of the tickets. Whilst we have illegal broadcasting going on, this can't happen. £100-per-year to watch all 23 away matches in your own home? Got to be some mileage in it.
January 31, 201313 yr I seem to recall the revelation that gate money was almost irrelevant in today's income sheet. If that's the case, every club really could slash their prices.

Most PL clubs could slash their prices and probably make it free to enter....but they won't as they're businesses these days, and the idea is to make maximum profit
January 31, 201313 yr Most PL clubs could slash their prices and probably make it free to enter....but they won't as they're businesses these days, and the idea is to make maximum profit Correct. Arsenal's tickets went up 20% this year. Crowds haven't fallen by much. As fat yanks would say: you do the math.
January 31, 201313 yr Most PL clubs could slash their prices and probably make it free to enter....but they won't as they're businesses these days, and the idea is to make maximum profit This is oh so true. Those Germans seem to have the balance right. It should be £5 per game and say £120 for a ST if you want the same seat and preference for away and cup tickets.

It should be £5 per game and say £120 for a ST if you want the same seat and preference for away and cup tickets. Biggest crowds in Europe, cheapest tickets for any 'major' European League, proper fan culture AND they get free travel with their ST's for the most part. And their clubs and national team occasionally win stuff. Sure I read somewhere about a group of Chelsea fans who fucked it off because it was cheaper to fly to Munich for a night and go to a game than going to Stamford Bridge?

January 31, 201313 yr More proof of my contention that the sooner all footballers and anyone to do with the entire stinking business are forced into the sea with cattle prods the better.
January 31, 201313 yr Hence my love of NL football, dont get me wrong, seen the Whites seventeen times this season, but only on cheapo tickets.
January 31, 201313 yr Author I've just noticed the price of smooks on that. Inflation isn't a million miles off with them these days.
February 1, 201313 yr I've just noticed the price of smooks on that. Inflation isn't a million miles off with them these days. For us sad heavy smooking and drinkin leythers, i think Leigh is one the cheapest places to get a drink.
