no balls Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 No, that's not foolish. I'm not sure what you're not getting here, but, again only in this specific instance, you're not getting a product that in any way is any better. I 'get' that you like the finer things in life and for that you will pay a premium, but that's not the case here. You're quite literally not getting anything finer. To out it another simpler and cruder way, if Armani and George had the same supplier making exactly the same jumper, which one would you buy? ... or would you buy something actually made by Armani instead? Because if you want a 'real' Toyota then you'd not buy an Aygo. George & Armani is a moot point, it simply wouldn't happen. The exterior to me is as important, so it may be the same underneath, or even the safety, it just doesn't 'look' the same. I suppose with my trade that's something I have always had a thing for. The petrolhead stuff is just blah blah blah to me, the design makes me look, whether it be a classic or stylish. Tis just the way my mind works. Quote

You think the exteriors of the C1/Aygo/ 107s are different? Maybe its a bird thing then as to me, apart from the rear light clusters and the badges, they are all exactly the same, what with them all being the same car and all . They're all pretty fow. When filling up my tank, I can see why Carlos would want one though. Quote
HomerJay Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 If the name has value and you're going to sell on then its worth paying the extra That applies to anything IMO Quote
DazBob Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 If the name has value and you're going to sell on then its worth paying the extra That applies to anything IMO Completely agree, but the extra you'd pay versus the extra you'd get when it comes to selling would be pretty negligible here wouldn't it? Without checking, an educated guess would say the difference would be enough to care But I reckon you shift a old c1 at lot faster than an older aygo Mainly because cheap cars move I'd still buy the aygo....well I wouldn't, I'd rather walk, but you know what I mean Edited March 4, 2013 by HomerJay Quote
Spider Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I've ordered one of these http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/lamborghini-veneno-geneva-motor-show-2013-03-04 Quote
tyldesley_white Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I've ordered one of these http://www.topgear.c...show-2013-03-04 and so you should, no replacement for horsepower Quote
Andydee Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Friend had an Aygo and sure they were one of the best in the depreciation top 20. ie % wise they lost the least over 3 years. Quote
DazBob Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Just seen one of these in the car park. I had a quick nosey and the interior looks quite nice. I treckon you'd look proper cool in one of these Carlos. It's even got a 'magic parking option'. Ooooooh Tax-free driving with emissions as low as 97g/km The most fuel efficient Chrysler delivering up to 74.3 MPG Magic parking option 3 door coupe styling with 5 door functionality Quote
Traf Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 3 door coupe styling with 5 door functionality What does that mean? Quote
Winchester White Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Nice use of a side-on picture there DazBob but just look at the front grille! Quote
jules_darby Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 3 door coupe styling with 5 door functionality What does that mean? I'm going to guess that it looks like a 3 door but you can open the back doors - i.e. the handles are "hidden" - from that pic for example it looks like it's at the top right - where the window meets the door. That's what Mrs Jules' car is anyway I could well be spouting bollocks though as cars aint my thing Quote
DazBob Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 3 door coupe styling with 5 door functionality What does that mean? Erm, I'd guess that it means that at first gklance it looks like a 3 door, but if you look closer there are actually 5. Genius. I want to know what 'magic parking' is. If it's only that new fangled automatic, sel-parking (which I don't think I could ever trust) then I'll be disappointed. Quote
HomerJay Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Nice use of a side-on picture there DazBob but just look at the front grille! looks shite and odds on it will be shite. stick to the main stream for such vehicles Quote

DazBob Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Genuine question here for folk who actually know about cars rather than the badge snobs who'll simply say they're shit. What's the score with Kia these days? Good cars or not? Don't they offer a ridiculously big warranty? So sommert like a Picanto, if just used as a low-mileage runaround, would/should be pretty much trouble/cost free motoring for as long as you'd keep it. Quote
HomerJay Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 kia are decent but on the cheap side of decent Quote
HomerJay Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Vulva correct im officially old joking aside, its a cracking drive. and its put together far, far better than my vw. Edited March 5, 2013 by HomerJay Quote
