DazBob Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) If you've got your heart set on a camp little runaround, then this might be of use (to Casino for Casino Jnr too). http://www.carbuyer..../best-city-cars Edit: It also goes to show just how easily fools/badge snobs and their money are easily parted. DazBob Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I think the likes of Fiats , Renaults, Citroens, etc of nowadays are incomparable to the cars of yesteryear. Having said that, I once owned a Fiat Bravo and I would never, ever buy a Fiat again as long as I live. Quote

no balls Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 A false perception, yes. In this instance, anyone who chooses the Aygo over the other two, based on this perception, is a crazy fool. But it is all about perception, that's the point I think you're missing. I'm not sure if it's snobbery but I like nice things, and I may well be a marketers dream. I like being like that and really wouldn't call someone who doesn't care for those sort of things a fool. People spend on things they like, it doesn't make them a fool, it's their money. Quote

Salford Trotter Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Asian place on right hand side of St Helens Rd if you;re heading away from town next to a big car wash (and Rumworth I think). Just before Park Cakes. I had a both sides of my car done there a while back. Perfect job and by far the cheapest of the quotes I got. I think someone else off here went on my recommendation and were also pleased. thanks mate Quote

People spend on things they like, it doesn't make them a fool, it's their money. The point I was making was, in this instance, you'd be paying more money and NOT be getting a better product. If you still went ahead and paid extra money for EXACTLY the same product then I'd say it was foolish, as you'd literally only be paying for a badge. Quote

It is not foolish to like the design of a product whether it be a car, a shirt, a whisk, a sofa, anything. We'll clearly wont agree on this, but to say it is foolish is foolish. Quote

We'll clearly wont agree on this, but to say it is foolish is foolish. No, that's not foolish. I'm not sure what you're not getting here, but, again only in this specific instance, you're not getting a product that in any way is any better. I 'get' that you like the finer things in life and for that you will pay a premium, but that's not the case here. You're quite literally not getting anything finer. To out it another simpler and cruder way, if Armani and George had the same supplier making exactly the same jumper, which one would you buy? ... or would you buy something actually made by Armani instead? Because if you want a 'real' Toyota then you'd not buy an Aygo. Quote
