Some years ago the "Angel of The North" statue was unveiled in Gateshead near the A1(M).

At 6am the next Sunday morning some pranksters managed to place a giant black & white shirt around, complete with "Shearer 9".

The new badges were suppose to have been put up 2 weeks ago in readiness for the statue ceremony. But some clown got their measurements wrong. Apparently the holes to get the thing mounted where in the wrong place.

I can now confirm that the new badge is now being put on to the front of the stadium.

They are about but not seen or heard as much from them rascals this summer. Maybe feeding is better elsewhere. For them interested enough, floodlight over the scoreboard is their favourite.
