Ppi

Righto

My missus has received a letter from MBNA saying she MAY have been mis sold PPI

I'm guessing they think she has, but they have asked her to fill out a form that asks a fucking shitload of personal questions about whether she would have got sick pay etc etc.

Should she fill all the details in, or just return the form mainly blank and tell them to fucking well cough up? It seems like they are asking these questions in order to wriggle out of it to me.

Anyone done it? She had a credit card with PPI on it so must be due something back. I'm not going via some 3rd party cunt, so this seems to be a half decent opportunity to get some money for designer drugs. And nappies.

Just done it myself, my bank manager recons i could get in excess of 10k

I got a letter from a bank, saying similar, filled it out, 3 months later got another letter saying the claim has been successful,, 4 weeks later 3 grand was paid into my account.

fill it in.

Go for it mate missus just got over a grand back for mis-sold ppi on a £500 loan don't go to a 3rd party they take upto 25%

I'm going to do it, but this form looks to me like they are hoping you'll slip up and admit you NEEDED the ppi in the first place.

Questions about salary, sick pay, would you get redundancy etc etc.

Surely, they are in the wrong as it was mis-sold over the phone by a pushy cunt?

Circumstances are irrelevant?

Really? - that's a shitload to get back for such a small loan, she must have been pleased and shocked as fuck with that amount

She is  now I spent it for her

My mum's partner just got a shit load of money back on it, wasn't expecting anywhere near the amount so worth going for it

Same here mate think they've added interest onto it was from a good few years ago... .. probably  could of got more if she refused the first offer or gone to a 3rd party but they take a huge cut which they don't tell you about at the time ie: small print

The banks offer can ALWAYS be bettered

Not being funny, but how come every Tom ,Dick and Harry took out PPI? Everyone must have a wardrobe full of lucky heather, flowers for the lady and double glazing.

Is there only me who said no?

all very sad

A while ago they hid it so people weren't aware.

True dat

They just didn't even bother mentioning it in the early days.

It's all a bit Jeremy Kyle but if the cunts owe us dosh, we'll have it, ta.

It's not easy being green

I got a letter from MBNA saying I was entitled to nothing then got a letter a week or so later saying they owe me £110 compensation on a Credit Card I had PPI with them. They ain't got a clue what they're doing them lot.

No. I did too. I always looked at what I was being sold & if it looked as if they'd added 'insurance' I made them take it off double quick.

Looks like I was the mug for taking personal responsibility for my own finances.

Me too.

Strange how similar add-ons are called assumptive selling in the retail industry but MIS-selling where the banks are concerned

I got the same letter from MBNA from a credit card I had from years ago, on the form I filled it out best I could but tried to indicate I didn't need the PPI because of my employment conditions etc within a week or so I had a cheque for £583

You need to remember the thousands who took it out because they thought that might need to claim, but now re saying it was mis sold and so claiming it back.

Same folk who blame the banks for the world economic crisis, want free bank accounts, cheaper mortgages, put in whiplash claims, won't go to burnley cos they missed cheap tickets, blame the ticket office and the foreigners behind the bar and do not get them started on folk coming over here doing jobs that they would not do themselves.

Never had a loan, mortgage aside, or credit card so guess i aint due any PPI refunds.

Missus had one small loan 12 years back, i think

There could be a cliam and 12 years of interest to be had.....although I don't know if there is a time limit on making claims or not

I've always made sure I didn't have the PPI stuff on anything I've ever taken out (as far as I am aware) and so haven't even bothered looking into if I'm "entitled" to anything

According to the BBC website the time limit on making a claim is within 6 years of the event being claimed about or three years after you first became aware that you may have grounds for complaint, whichever is longest.

Indeed. Deliberate fraudulent selling is wrong

Claiming something back when you asked for it in the first place is just as bad. Maybe these people will remember this next time try get charged £50 for going tuppence overdrawn.
