Arrested development
all i've got is that reams playing as part of a midfield diamond That would be very surprising considering Medo and spearing could do that role. If ream is in then one of those two must be out.

clown
To be fair, with Ream in the side things can only get b...... I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. How can their front line not have a field day against our back line? And who is scoring for us? Might just back QPR minus 1 and minus 2 in case we get a pasting. Mounts Kipper
The campo role? 4-1-4-1 ? Glad freedman trying something different, but I would prefer a 4-4-2 with the players we have available.
Site Supporter desperado Posted August 23, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted August 23, 2013 It tells me that he is definitely looking at centre back replacements before the deadline. Until then he has to find a temporary way of protecting the centre spine, I see his logic. If it works its another option to have up his sleeve, if it doesn't it further reinforces his plan to recruit his defence, either way expect some transfer activity over the weekend. Moderators Carlos Posted August 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 23, 2013 Means no width, which with CYL makes no odds.
Mounts Kipper
Means no width, which with CYL makes no odds. If its a 4-1-4-1 it means more width ream covers either left back or right back and the wingers don't need to track back, it's a tough job for the lone striker though. Moderators Carlos Posted August 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 23, 2013 Not if Beckford and Ngog play.
Eavesy
4141 is just fucking 451 for us. Which we started with at Burnley and have played plenty. It's nowt radical. If its 451 Craig Davies has to start and eagles and hall have to be on wings

Garrp
Iv no idea about how to stop another team with tactics but QPR played SWP and Hoillett on the wings in a 442 last weekend. Can you play a diamond against that?

Garrp
Guessing its how we set up against Brighton away Ream played midfield sure it was a diamond with two upfront it was our worst performance last season (after Peterborough) the good news is Mark Davies played that day so its understandable
Rembrandt
If Ream plays the anchor of a diamond formation, all it means to me is DF is still trying to find a system the players he has can actually use. Depending who's fit & who turns up. Pessimistic about tomorrow. Could be a hammering. But, football being what it is, could be a scrappy flukey 1-0 win. Site Supporter desperado Posted August 23, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted August 23, 2013 It's looking like; Bogdan Tierney Baptiste Knight Wheater Ream (bottom of diamond) Spearing Medo Chungy (top of diamond) Beckford Ngog
