I think if I was Gartside, I'd have kept my mouth shut about duping City out of 400k especially if he's part of the FA's committee.

I pity you as you are destined never to be happy following Bolton.

As long as he's at the helm we will be forever fucked

How do you explain our 10 year stint in the premier league whilst he has been chairman?

Normally speaks well on behalf of Bolton.

Good interview.

Didi Hamman deal spoke about.

Anything groundbreaking or scandalous?

The Hamman thing was funny....

PG said more than once don't be a chairman, thick skin etc....

Maybe putting 2&2 and together and getting 5 but I think he has had enough.....

Just that you never officially owned him, as you forgot to co-sign the registration form.

Only once he asked to leave, did you sign it, and demand £400k from city.

If he's had more than enough then I'm sure there would be a very long queue of people willing to do the job instead of him. I'm sure it's still a pretty decent job, especially as the remuneration is fairly decent. The comment about "thick skin" I'm not sure I get, it's part and parcel of being chairman of a football club these days, being abused, as ultimately the book stops with you. Even if he went, and I know some folk want him to, I'm not sure that anybody any better would replace him.

At least in the old days people would congregate outside the club or in the ground and let their feelings be known on mass. These days you just have individual whoppers sending childish tweets and facebook messages to him.....I'm not sure you'll ever get the chairman or owner of a football club taking anybody seriously who tweets shit like "You shud resign you dick"

If people really do want him gone, then they should do something about it  -  I'm  not sure more than 1 or 2 do actually want him gone though

As regards the thick skin, he's happy to put his face out there in the media, take jobs at the FA etc. He could have easily taken a lower profile.

These chairmen are dicks. Especially the old school one's that declair love for the club.

Do you lot like yours? - I can never tell.

Anyway,  I agree with you. It does seem that nearly all football fans seem to think their own Chairmen are cocks who should spend more money, choose a better manager etc

Appreciate he loves the club, but he is holding us back, and is a crap Business man.

Oh, and he is a cringey nonce.

The thing that got my back up with gartside were his comments that there shouldn't be relegation from the premier league. Easy to step on the little guy once your part of thr gravy train imo.

its his job to try to do what is best for his employer

Bill Kenwright is a complete nutter, a bully and just plain odd.

Not a nice man at all.

Is he not just looking after his/our interests. When asked the question I would have been more upset if he didn't try to ensure we could hold our position. I'm not sure I give a fuck about "the little guy" if by that you mean teams like Bury, Stevenage and Oldham. Fuck 'em as far as I'm concerned

If that idea was floated about and agreed in 1987 then we'd have been fucked, there wouldnt of been a professional club now. The fact that his idea was very quickly shot down tells you all you need to know. Pigs and troughs spring to mind.

do you think it would've been good for bolton if relegation had been abolished 3 years ago

keep it simple

yes or no

Unfair question.

Yes for Bolton in the short term but bad for football overall and that would have a longer term effect on people watching football in general. The game would fundamentally change and that wouldn't be good for any club.

As above. The premier league eventually wouldnt give a toss about the man on the street fan. I would hate to be priced out of the game on a low wage. Promotion and relegation are important moving forward.

keep it simple

yes or no

simple:

no

why:

not much incentive to stay out the bottom 3

why spend

doesn't matter if you get beat every week

shite

No.

Quite simply isn't fair and turns more fans to the bigger clubs. Rochdale may never make the prem but at least their fans can believe it could happen. Take that away and there is not much left.

When we were in the dizzy heights of 6th and playing in UEFA Cup 1st time round my Grandfather said "enjoy it sun as it won't last", he knew then as do I now BWFC are not in any way shape or form a Premier League club. Decent stadium and thats it. Havent got the fans base, academy etc etc. We effectively are where we belong, if people dont like then head up to Old Trafford or the Etihad.
