September 9, 201312 yr They are both coming to an end in the final series and both air on the same night. How can one get it so, so right and the other so, so wrong. Dexter is limping across the line and I could quite easily not watch next weeks if something clashed. The other end of the spectrum is Breaking Bad, what a fantastic program, how dark can they actually take the last episodes? I have just watched this weeks (episode 13) and I am thinking of staying up next Sunday night until the early hours or get up at the crack of dawn in order to see what happens next. Absolutely riveting.
September 9, 201312 yr I don't mind Dexter this season, although it's not as riveting as previous ones. Breaking Bad is immense though. I thought we'd gotten over the intensity of 2 weeks ago with last weeks episode (which was considerably more chilled) but then last night... I screamed at my TV when the episode ended. How dare they make me wait a week to see what happens!
September 10, 201312 yr I was just about to say, latest BB episode was superb! Best TV I've ever seen
September 10, 201312 yr I had no idea Dexter was having another season. Gives me something to watch after I finish BB next week though.
September 10, 201312 yr dexter is wuality but not seen the new series yet, but without seeing it nothing tops Breaking Bad, not even The Sopranos.
September 10, 201312 yr BB is fucking ace. I am not saying too much because I think you may be an episode or 2 in front and I don't want it spoiling. I left it last night with a white supremacist inspired shootout. That is all I will say on the subject. Dexter schmexter. Not in the same league. Probably only The Wire competes.
September 10, 201312 yr WOW. That last one was just immense. Great, GREAT show. I cant beleive we only have 3 episodes left.
September 10, 201312 yr I agree about Dexter too, its just gone crap. Like they have got fed up, and thrown this out.
September 10, 201312 yr WOW. That last one was just immense. Great, GREAT show. I cant beleive we only have 3 episodes left. Aye, i will be gutted when it ends, just glad it looks like it will end on a high
September 10, 201312 yr These last few episodes of breaking bad have been the best of the lot, and that takes some doing. I'm hoping dexter has a decent ending, it has gone off the boil a little, so far.
September 10, 201312 yr Boardwalk was a tad dissapointing. I though the last one ended with Al Capone rocking up with an army, backing Nucky, ready for war ????
September 10, 201312 yr Just on the second episode of the second series of BB. It is excellent. Trying to get into Mad Men but its a bit like my old work with better suits, only slightly more drinking and the same amount of office shagging so I'm steering clear for a while. Really like Nurse Jackie though.
September 10, 201312 yr Can't believe how few people watch BB. It is the very best in its genre by some way. Sadly the end is nigh.....what then?
September 10, 201312 yr Author Can't believe how few people watch BB. It is the very best in its genre by some way. Sadly the end is nigh.....what then? I'm going to re watch it from the beginning, I'll be able to see all the subtle links in the story line that were missed first time round.
September 10, 201312 yr Watched the first series of breaking bad, thought it was alright but nothing special Is it worth perservering with as it will get better, or if I'm not getting it at this stage I never will?
September 10, 201312 yr Watched the first series of breaking bad, thought it was alright but nothing special Is it worth perservering with as it will get better, or if I'm not getting it at this stage I never will? it will, steadily gets better and better and series 4 is some of the best tv you will ever see.
September 10, 201312 yr I needed a drink after BB last night! Never known a show generate and sustain tension so well. BB is immense and has been consistently excellent since season 3. If it continues at that this level I would rate it above The Sopranos(went a bit flabby in the middle seasons) and The Wire (S5 isn’t upto the standard of the rest). Dexter reached its high water mark in Season 4. Since then it's been really patchy, recent seasons have suffered from a lack of a decent bad guy.
September 10, 201312 yr I've never watched BB at all. Loved The Wire and The Sopranos, after catching them years behind everyone else! Haven't seen Dexter either: which should I start with?
September 10, 201312 yr I've never watched BB at all. Loved The Wire and The Sopranos, after catching them years behind everyone else! Haven't seen Dexter either: which should I start with? Breaking bad, without a doubt. Then Sons of Anarchy !
September 10, 201312 yr I'll need to get them on DVD then, because I can't be arsed downloading to watch on a PC or laptop
