road near us has been closed now for 2 weeks

 

i say closed but it isn't actually as us locals know and are still driving through the obstacles

 

however, bury (i presume) have now decided to close the road that runs parallel to it, albeit about quarter of a mile away, meaning that of 4 main routes from here to bury, 2 are now closed and 1 takes forever to get to

 

i'll just have to go through before 10 to 8 in the morning, i guess

Be extra careful as any damage won't be covered by your insurance.

Looks like they gave up waiting for a picture of an actual cyclist using it - they should have got that granny to squat over the bike symbol on the floor to try and make it look like someone was actually using it.

Very true, it's just printing a story for the sake of it. There are quite a few "shared" paths down near to where I live and they've been here for absolutely years, it's nothing new

true , insurance companies may argue you shouldnt have been there and not pay in certain circumstances. but you are still covered for legal purposes.

True but as insurane companies tend to use any reason to get out of paying. driving down a closed road is a very easy get out for them and would result in a big wrangle to get your money.
