October 24, 201312 yr Fiji staying at the Whites Hotel. Just spoke to one and told me that they fancy their chances against England. Said they might even play in their flip-flops for that game.
October 24, 201312 yr Fucking hell it must be grim Go on. Tell me why my night on the lash there will be disastrous. as well as agreeing with everything Maggie says about the place, I will add that you should google "rubber bandits" and realise that these are the ones that actually are considered talented in that city so gives an indication to the state of the rest. Stab city is not a made up nick name and into the mix they have a large traveller community based in and around the area the county areas are not too bad but the city is rough in parts but it's a rugby city ( Munster are based there as I'm sure you know)and the atmosphere should be good, but, one bit of advice, I dont know you from adam but no doubt you can handle yourself, but dont, whatever the situation, get into any bother with the doormen in the city centre no matter what the provocation. have a nice time take it it is being played at Munsters ground?
October 24, 201312 yr Yes it is at Munster. We should be fine as the average age of our group is 50 and half have Oirish in them already. I find that if you respect a place and behave, the locals are right with you. Take the piss and they sulk. I was more bothered about the day in Dublin beforehand, as the last time I went there in 95 there was a bit of mither which they didnt take too kindly too whereas others think its superb

October 26, 201312 yr Why don't they use stadiums they can actually fill. Opening match of the 'world cup' with the home nation involved and half the stands seem to be closed - doesn't exactly scream big time.
October 27, 201312 yr Loads of Welsh sat near us. Two cracking games and a top day out. Off to Warrington later for NZ v Samoa.
October 27, 201312 yr Author Loads of Welsh sat near us. Two cracking games and a top day out. Off to Warrington later for NZ v Samoa. Indeed. Nightmare getting back but a funny day
October 27, 201312 yr Don't get me wrong, I like RL a lot. I just think a World Cup is a waste of time. And yes, I'd watch Trinidad take on Sweden at football, as the competition to reach the football World Cup means it would probably be a decent game. To qualify for the RL World Cup, you just need to have 13 people in your entire country who know the rules. This... Shit game for thirteen forwards.......
October 27, 201312 yr Indeed. Nightmare getting back but a funny day Did you stay on for the 2nd game?
October 27, 201312 yr This... Shit game for thirteen forwards....... As opposed to a shit game for 15 fat lads?
October 27, 201312 yr As opposed to a shit game for 15 fat lads? 15fat lads.? Must be watching a different game to me fella... You disputing the 13forwards bit?.
October 27, 201312 yr Author 15fat lads.? Must be watching a different game to me fella... You disputing the 13forwards bit?. Rugby union without kicking is great. Never get why people don't just like both. Both great sports
October 27, 201312 yr 15fat lads.? Must be watching a different game to me fella... You disputing the 13 forwards bit?. You think Sam Tomkins is a forward? If what you mean is '13 fit strong blokes' then yes, you are correct. Both codes are tough but I could still play union now because the game is so slow and cumbersome - the fat lads can play it quite easily at any age. A game of league nowadays would kill me.
October 27, 201312 yr Indeed. Nightmare getting back but a funny dayWe weren't too bad, even got a table seat on the train. Train down was a nightmare though, absolutely rammed.
October 27, 201312 yr Author We weren't too bad, even got a table seat on the train. Train down was a nightmare though, absolutely rammed. Yeah we had seats booked both ways but they wouldn't let us on the platform for our return. Nightmare ha
