A666

Between Raikes Lane and the junction near Gordons.

What the fuck is the smell?

The whole stretch smells like someone's been digging up bodies. Musty, sour, worse when damp.

Been there for weeks now and getting worse.

At first I thought the old railway bridge behind Burnden just needed a jetwash but it's something much more sinister I think.

Its like a car park today, I had to come off at Raikes lane. Not sitting in that, WFH today.

I do love my commute. 10 miles up thA6, rarely any bother.  I'm not sure I'd like ot work in Manchester again.

Stockport was the worse for me,closely followed by middle of Liverpool city center.

Was an Absolute diabolical way to start your day having to get there and then do a days graft.

Fook that now.

Going to Leeds was long and tiresome when I have got to Brighton in the same time before.

Cannot for the life of me understand people who have an extra 15 minutes of bed full well knowing it will cost them a good 30 minutes plus in traffic.

Leave at 6.30, get to Manchester for 7

Leave at 7, get to Manchester for 8.30

It's the same scenario every frigging day yet people still do it

Extenuating circumstances appreciated of course

When working at Manchester airport i ended up switching to 7am starts, setting off at a quite pleasant 6am.

When starting at 8 i had to set off at 6:15 anyway.

Fucking wanker of a journey full of selfish fuck pigs

This wi' bells on

Get in early; have brekky, make a brew, clear the emails and aren't rushing in flustered and unprepared for the day ahead. I'm in the office for 7:30am and wouldn't have it any other way

And then he sits there taking notes as to what time his employees turn in.

Especially if it was the works' do the night before. :D

Whoa easy tiger, I like it fairly quiet at half six when I get on the 666, don't be telling all these idiots to get on it. Bad enough when you get the occasional do gooder driving in the outside lane at exactly the same slow speed alongside someone in the slow lane

Jesus that was many, many years ago! I left there in March 2007 :D

The lad in question that time, Ross, is now a Director of that business...and never comes in late after going out on the piss....good management you see ;)

My commute consists of a 42 second walk. It's hell.

You don't think 6.5 years is enough to let it go yet, do you?

There's no statue of limitations on dredging shite up on Wanderersways! :D

When you brush your teeth, does the smell go away ????

I had a sniff today and it smelt fine. Have you been scratching your arse then picking your nose again?

Oh that's awful.  It's supposed to be really horrible and sickly, glad I've never smelled it.

i smelt the smell yesterday. fucking awful it was. like the man said it was like a musty damp smell from the bowels of hell its self! proper rank.

So we can deduce Spider has the nose of a bloodhound, whilst Carlos needs a nose transplant

Or maybe Spider dumped the body and this was an elaborate ploy to lead to its discovery?
