Hopefully. Free tickets to potential new fans or those that can't normally afford to go, I'm all for this. More fans the merrier, we certainly need them. Good on the club for initiatives like this ???

  • Booo getting people through the door, booooo free tickets. Boooo the club. Keep the Bok empty thank you.

  • And if any of you disillusioned Season Ticket Holders want to sell theirs for Saturday, just let me know.

Due a home win (any win).

Could it really be Watford (or t'Rovers) ?

No.   1-1 followed by 0-2.

Cannot see a win so 2 apiece.

A heavy defeat

1-2

Got a bad, bad feeling about this.

This weekend's game against @watfordfcsays has been selected as the club's community fixture for the season. #BOLvWAT

Wtf does that mean? Freebie tickets galore?

Could theoretically mean one of the four permitted cheap games per season (see the Boro furore) but at this stage it's far more likely to be freebie central.

"In the run-up to the game the @OfficialBWCT will be hosting a number of initiatives and events in partnership with @boltonathome. #BOLvWAT"

Apparently

Free tickets to council house dwellers.

Oh joy. Hopefully they just stick them all together in the North stand or something

Or just dump some old couches pitch side for them.

I'd say it's more likely to be their employees.

Meanwhile folk who forked out £20-30 for tickets are sat next to some Johnny-come-lately who is there on a freebie. Dunno about you but I'd be pretty pissed off

These freebies are dished out to folk who just won't go otherwise (otherwise we wouldn't need to give them freebies). Therefore they'll take it, turn up and then just wait til the next time the club is feeling generous/desperate. Fuck 'em

Why would you be pissed off? They're there to watch the football and support Bolton, the same as you.

Seems to me like this is just more 'elite fan' bollocks. Thst and the fact it's another opportunity to have a go at the club.

They're there because it's free, no other reason. We pay good money to go and watch our team so why should some juvenile delinquent get in for free just because his school/social worker are dishing out tickets?

edit: A far better idea would be to cut prices across the board for these Community games so that all fans benefit, not just the no-shows

Of course they're there because its free, but like i said, that's probably down to the fact they cant afford to go every week. Again, i dont see what the issue with this is? More fans supporting the team, the better.

Because it will put the few-games-a-season types off forking out for tickets. They'll just wait for the next load of freebies. Make it cheaper for all solves that issue. We season ticket holders still lose out in relative terms but we'll still renew anyway so the club doesn't lose out that way

I'm not having that season ticket holders lose out money wise across the season, not a chance.

And if folk get put off going by the thought of the club handing out free tickets to the community for one game, then that's just ridiculous.

Oh goody.

Another, discount/free v season ticket, 'debate'

:shakeshead:

I thought people would get it by now.

Sadly no.
