11 clubs now needed for the Bolton League

They want clubs with decent facilities and to retain the Bolton feel to the league, just cannot see where the clubs will come from.

 

As it is enough clubs are struggling to get a full second XI out, imagine a few more will if you have to schlep over to Rochdale for game.

I play at Norden, lot of stuff still up in the air. CLL talking with Saddleworth League about a merger.

there is a vote about it tonight, there was a meeting last night where the league representative raised the merger with Saddleworth.

 

The committee were going to vote next Tuesday, but they will decide tonight

Play in the Seconds when available. Work most weekends now unfortunately. Available next weekend though so will see you there I'd selected!

Heywood are nailed on for GMCL

I'd tend to agree with that, think Bobby Cross was promoting it early on?

 

 

Could see Radcliffe and maybe Unsworth going to GMCL too, especially given Radcliffe not in top CLL division anyway and those trips to Walsden and Littleborough are a drag. Following what the other cll teams do with interest though

Rochdale and Littleborough have confirmed they're staying in CLL. I think Walsden will stay and wait for the Lanacshire League to invite applications.

 

I'd be surprised if Clifton and Monton & Weaste don't opt for GMCL as well.

 

Bottom line is you've got Bolton League, CLL and potentially Lancashire League soon all inviting applicants, but not enough clubs to go around!

I know of 6 clubs that want to come into the league from the association.

We had a club meeting up at Egerton this week.

 

Its crystal clear what we are going to do but are putting it to an official vote at an EGM on week after next.

my personal opinion is stay with the bolton league, theres some shite teams joined that manc league. and why would i want to travel to wythenshawe to watch a game, you couldnt have a swill at there club.

Did you turn out for your game at Heaton today for their range of well kept cask ales at reasonable prices?

I'm sure Egerton will be staying in the league IF it goes to two divisions.

There's enough good clubs locally to keep a good competitive league and Egerton have been one of the clubs pushing for an expansion for a few years.
