Just watched the original fight in the office now.

Sure was a good effort from Groves. Definitely on top throughout.

I think Froch had him at the end though and would've knocked him out. But we'll never know.

And the decision to end it when the ref did looked harsh, but the final split second, Groves is side onto Froch and seemingly clueless to what's going on - Froch could have seriously hurt him. Likewise he could've let him off the hook.

 

Will be a tremendous rematch.

Froch has earned the right to a little more respect from Groves and from the fans - just my opinion. 

 

I like Groves, but I hope Froch gets a good, clear win.

 

Hopefully he can act with a bit of class afterwards if he does, but I think the grudge is very real to him, it's just a game to Groves.

Yeah, it was too early, I thought that straight away. I thought Froch was on his way to the stoppage too, but you've got to let it play out further than that. 

 

IMO not enough emphasis is given to the huge knockdown in round one. Gave Groves a massive advantage in the first half of the fight and took Froch ages to recover from.

 

He's unlikely to get that head start this time.

I've not seen much of the build ups to the fights but from what I have I thought froch was a bit classless. After watching that though I can see why groves is a cracking wind up merchant. Very impressed at the mind games clearly got to him.

The first fight was stopped too early but its making them some serious money so neither of them can complain to much.

 

If anything Groves wants to be sending Howard Foster a thank you card because if he doesn't jump in when he did and Froch puts him away properly as it looked like he was going to its bye bye massive payday at Wembley.

Most corrupt thing about the first fight is the judges only had Groves 1 round up going into the 9th.  The stoppage can be argued about and seen as correct or very bad but only having him 1 round up is criminal.
