June 26, 201412 yr Harsh on Liverpool, expect this to run & run. I could hear the Screeching of dismay over here! Can't wait to read the drivel on Faceache later, I can feel some winding up going on later
June 26, 201412 yr Not really, cant train, get go in the ground, no per-season games, he will not play until Christmas The first quarter of the ban is pretty pointless as he'd be on holiday anyway.
June 26, 201412 yr He's getting round the ban on football related activities by signing for West Ham.
June 26, 201412 yr The first quarter of the ban is pretty pointless as he'd be on holiday anyway. he will still miss 13 games for liverpool, thats if he can play stright after the ban so maybe add on another 4 or 5
June 26, 201412 yr he will still miss 13 games for liverpool, thats if he can play stright after the ban so maybe add on another 4 or 5 Quite a chunk out of the season
June 26, 201412 yr I'll tell you what, that Chiellini has more self control than me. If he'd have bitten me I'd have punched his fucking head off.
June 26, 201412 yr I'll tell you what, that Chiellini has more self control than me. If he'd have bitten me I'd have punched his fucking head off. me too, he would have had to stick his hand up his arse to get is teeth back
June 26, 201412 yr I'll tell you what, that Chiellini has more self control than me. If he'd have bitten me I'd have punched his fucking head off. Thought that when Diouf spat in Arjan de Suarez face at reebok...how he didn't twat him is beyond me
June 27, 201412 yr me too, he would have had to stick his hand up his arse to get is teeth back If you watch carefully Chiellini tries to elbow Suarez in the gob. By and large he misses, however, Suarez rolls around as though Chiellini has caught him. If only that elbow had really caught him - he wouldn't have been biting anyone ()
June 27, 201412 yr Indeed. I'd argue that if someone bites you on the shoulder you'd elbow them as a natural reaction.
June 27, 201412 yr i hope the appeal winds fifa up and the ban is extended seemingly, theres been no apology or acceptance he's done owt wrong i'd be pissed off if i was anything to do with liverpool but they made the choice to back him last time, so fcuk em
June 27, 201412 yr I love all this. So he should not get banned from Domestic football ??? That makes sense. When a criminal goes to jail, you dont get people saying its not fair on his wife n kids.
June 27, 201412 yr So he should not get banned from Domestic football ??? That makes sense. When a criminal goes to jail, you dont get people saying its not fair on his wife n kids. Except that this punishment is the equivalent of sending the wife and kids to jail with him. Liverpool pay his wages. They're now being punished for an incident that happened on someone else's watch.

They're now being punished for an incident that happened on someone else's watch. So if I rob a bank, by your logic I should still be able to go to work whilst I'm serving my sentence?

June 27, 201412 yr Whaaat, are they banned from football ??? No, they are just without their most important player. They were punished when he did the same thing when he was playing for them. Apparently they're now responsible for him when he's not playing for them as well.
June 27, 201412 yr They were punished when he did the same thing when he was playing for them. Apparently they're now responsible for him when he's not playing for them as well. ok then he's the fcuking pfa player of the year, one of the highest profile players in the league so, how about the fa charge him with bringing our game into disrepute and apply their own ban would that make it sit better
June 27, 201412 yr ok then he's the fcuking pfa player of the year, one of the highest profile players in the league so, how about the fa charge him with bringing our game into disrepute and apply their own ban would that make it sit better Perversely I think it would.

They had just as little responsibility for his behaviour then as they did with this incident.
June 27, 201412 yr They were punished when he did the same thing when he was playing for them. Apparently they're now responsible for him when he's not playing for them as well. Well, they own the rights of him, and backed him last time. They should shoulder some blame of not either helping him or making him change his ways. If he won the wold cup, he would be Liverpool player and World Cup winner.....his value would go up, and they would benefit from it..
June 27, 201412 yr Heard a Uruguayan journo on the Guardian World Cup podcast blaming the British press for the severity of the ban and that any punishment should have taken more notice of what a great player he is. Talk about blinkered.
