I went to see them last September to see if the room was free and suitable. The old guy is an absolute gent, bit of a rum fucker, you know he could tell or tale or two and had a glint in his eye. He was telling me all about it and like any normal person was totally disgusted by it. He seemed fine at the do, seemed to have recovered and was in fine form which really pleased us. I was sent the BN link today and couldn't believe Nick Etchells was involved. I've know him for 20 years, not a mate just someone to say hello too and have a pint with every so often, never in a million years would I have thought he would get involved in something like this. hughmungus Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I know Dennis Foulkes (usual BN reporting) the old guy involved as the Mrs plays Rounders and he is a ref, he is an ex copper from the old school so not one to back down and I spoke to him a few days after and his face looked like it had been run over by a bus. From what he said they almost hunted him and his wife down all because he had asked them to stop disturbing other people in the club. Not sure if he is totally over it now but thankfully seems OK.
