No offence but is this the time to boycotting the club? At least those wanting to protest are still sticking around.

Once a white & all that.......

The board won't listen to the protests - especially not after they "listened" to us over Megson and Coyle! The club is clearly going in the wrong direction and there will be many non STHs who will not want to waste £30 when they know it's paying people who don't deserve it. I fully expect most STHs to go and am in no way calling for the stadium to be empty. There are those who will stay away so as not to fund the current regime especially after Wednesday night. For those who choose not to go, there is an alternative to the overpaid primadonnas!

I just can't do it, no matter how much I fall out of love with BWFC. I've never had a second team nor any kind of affection for a foreign team whose results I check upon or casually follow. Being in someone else's stadium, cheering on someone else's team has never appealed to me. I would never experience the same camaraderie you get and feel amongst your own. Once a Wanderer always a Wanderer.

I reckon the reverend may be the glue that sticks us all back together.

What a happy accident this thread could turn out to be :)

He could end up meeting his maker....

See what I did there....

If you are boycotting the Macron this Saturday  <casino edit>

I've nothing against Athy Colls and I've done my little bit to help you this season.

But we do have a non-league section and that's where you belong.

We have other Colls fans on here who have been a bit more subtle in extolling the virtues of your club.

To come on here and instantly start touting for business is bad form and in poor taste at present.

As has already been said, there's a time and a place for it and this isn't it and you're more likely to alienate potential future casual supporters than drag them in.

Purely a suggestion that those who might be at a loose end this Saturday might want to give non-league football a go - especially a club that (more than ever before) has Bolton Wanderers written right through it. I'm not sure that the borderline death threat was warranted no matter how poor taste you perceive it to be. A similar post in another place received only a positive response.

As for the current situation at the club, we never manage to do anything in a united way. We get some saying if you don't cheer and support the team no matter how much of your cash they are stealing, you aren't a proper fan. While others would take the opposite view. The result is disunity and that's how the board get away with it! A protest at the Macron with 20-30 people is going to be just as bad as any other time. An attendance about the same as normal isn't going to give a message. Personally I'd rather see a full stadium making its voice heard, perhaps even with a backs turned protest at a certain point. The fact is that non STHs are very unlikely to turn up - most (myself included) are finding it too hard to justify paying the admission fee - and that is just getting worse!
